The cables did indeed fit, the dvd drive was broken however. Probably why there were no cables in it. lol. Gonna try installing from USB now.

Thought so. The uni I go to makes a deal with HP every year to let them sell laptops to students at a reduced price. More often then not the laptops are horrible and the discount is laughable. And frankly, I hate HP.

If you can afford, do it. SSD's are orgasmic. Also, an 800GB ssd is hitting the markets soon. It's not as fast as regular SSD's, but still very much in the "ohfuckthatwentsofast" realm. You must be registered for see element.
