Yes, it's still has a very active player base. I hope with the new server we could actually upgrade the client with nicer looking textures. I really wanted to see an graphic upgrade for Toontown since they changed the player creation, added street props, etc.

BTW as a side info. I fixed the "mall connect error" which I had. You need to open the ports for that. The ports are: 15555, 25510, 25511, 25512, 25514, 25525 and 25530. If they don't work, try to open all ports and check if it even works. If it works like that then look for ports in Command...

No one has any source code from the original Toontown server. The only way would be to code an own server. I'm sorry I can't help much. I really don't know anything about Python, only a bit of Java and LUA, so I can't help with the programming part. If there is some other way to help (later on)...

I would say, having it only free to play is pretty much enough for me to play this game. Gag rate a bit higher not neccessary. But I would love to see a higher rate of Merits/Cogbucks/Jury Notices/Stock Options because they were the most annoying to collect. Especially when you were at the last...

I had a lot of fun because the quests weren't such a main point, more the social part about this game. Co-Oping with four players and planning strategic moves made this game a lot more deep.
