WZ How does sprite delay work?

As the tittle says... How does sprite delay work. I tried man numbers but don't know how the delay works. Sprite goes too fast. I made like 8 sprite and they all go through within 1 second. I want it to go slower so you can see all of the sprite.

The delay is in milliseconds.
