Kobold - 2 issues : Registering Web Server

Fist issue:

When launching the WS_Server_Alive, it takes about 3 or so minutes to start. 3/4 of the way through I get an error:

The "failed to create GO from DB" error occurs about 30 times before continuing onto the next part. It still starts, however I dont know it runs because I can't log in to test it. Which brings me to my next issue


Second issue:

I can't seem to create an account. I followed the guide to setting up the web server

After completion, I could load up the simple index.php by putting my IP in the address bar. However, it said the loginserver and gameserver were offline. I couldn't seem to create an account. I had already edited the index.php using my database name/pass and ip address. Was there anything left to edit?

Hmm.. think thats about it.


Wait, no it's not.

Using the database I created an account and logged into it. All seemed fine, however it wouldn't let me create a character (let me create it, but never added it to the list)

I got some errors too, but they aren't critical and server works fine..

2:
make sure your web server's IP is allowed to access the server box if the web server isn't on the same machine as the game server is. also make sure usr/pwd are correct

3:
try revising all steps in the guide. I guarantee it's enough to make fully working server, so there's something you missed/misunderstood

The server/client are running on the same machine, and I am certain of the password.



As for the rest, I guess if it isn't obvious, I'll just mess around with it and hope it works. Thanks.

Ok, I managed to get the character thing to work and now the page says the servers are online, but when one fills out the information and presses submit, the account is never created. It just brings them to a white screen.

Any ideas? Maybe a better index.php?

and I get a

yeah i know that one its not an script error 100% as i past thru this sth! and my advice is to read the good php-mysql guide i posted the link in my thread it helped me alot

as an ideea :
make sure u configure apache corectly
then php needs alot of setup to work fully
e.g.
php.ini in C:\windows
some ext paths and other (aslo in php.ini)
create a separate user in mysql give access to the wow_server db
make sure to restart apache service after all the modifs in php or apache
go check out the guide ...it all about the php.ini problem ...i garanty u this
