Unfortunately, we have experienced significant hard drive damage that requires urgent maintenance and rebuilding. Try not to get use brushes. As a starter, you can afford to do that at the moment but eventually you'll see they are of no use.
Go to devART and read tutorials. They'll come in handy and get you acquaintd with Photoshop and once you're familiar with it, you can start experimenting.
