Yes the "shell" fiels or .sh files is the only thing you will need to mod if you are using diferent source/revisions if you get the ones i uploaded and look at them you should be able to create any sh files "for the server" with that. Still if you encounter any problems let me know.

Try this shutdown -r now tell me if that fixes it

I did not see the videos, but don't you have to install a bunch of packages:
Web servers: Apache, or Ngenex
Mysql: of course for database
And a few more.

I explain how to set up Mysql.
As for Apache thats only if you want to host the website on your vps. I also Explain how to do that on the videos. I think I am not sure i kind of forgot. But for sure I explain how to set up a server 100%
