[Tutorial][Text Effect] Movie Poster Text Effect

In this tutorial you will learn to create text like you see it on movie posters a lot.

1. In your image create some text using the font 'Impact'. Make it quite large for that will look nicer. Use a gold color (I used E7E72A) and text size 36.

You must be registered to see links

2. Go to the Blending Options window by right clicking the text layer and choosing Blending Options...
Add the following things:

Drop Shadow (Optional):

You must be registered to see links

Bevel and Emboss:

You must be registered to see links

Try playing with the sizes a bit to get the result best for your text size.
Shadow Mode color is plain red (FF0000.)

Stroke:

You must be registered to see links

And you're done.

Your final text should look somewhat like this:
