I've never posted a review on Ragezone, but I felt like I had to prevent others for falling for this seemingly good server. If you're unsure whether this is worth your time right now, it is not.
Leveling:
Though none of what they are advertising is false, there's so many caveats, that it's not worth your time.
Leveling up essentially hinders your progress, because of the way PvE mobs scale.
Gear/Content:
It is true that they have custom gear for you to progress/play with (AKA more content), but the only way to get said gear is to do event bosses that only spawn at certain intervals of time.
You have a life and can't login at a moment's notice? Well too bad, no gear progression for you.
Alts:
Dungeons require 5 people to queue for them in a server where at times it's difficult to find anyone other than you online.
You need to do a 5-man dungeon? Go make 4 other accounts and get them to the level to access that dungeon.
Class Balance:
Due to the custom changes (damage boosts through costumes, achievements, gear) in the server, there is no class balance, at ALL. Only viable class is archer, end of discussion.
You can play other classes, but they're just ultimately worse/inferior. Archers have a 0-second cooldown skill they can spam to area clear mobs from range, not to mention the highest attack speed. Though other classes can also deal damage or clear mobs, none of them can do it as well or as fast as the archer class, not to mention as risk free as archers.
You could be a fully geared out berserker, but you move as slow as a turtle, and you have to constantly watch out for the bosses' attacks and dodge. not to mention the high cooldowns on your skills.
While archer is just sniping away in peace, and due to the Bless Unleashed boss AI, you're almost never going to be in any danger of dying.
Movement:
If you've never played Bless Unleashed before, then allow me to explain how poop movement here is. Holy poop does the movement here suck.
Takes like 10 seconds to cross 100 in-game meters. Like literally if an objective is 100 meters away, but it's right next to a teleportation point,
It is faster to do all the following:
1. Press M to open the map,
2. Click on the teleportation point,
3. Hold down spacebar 1 second to trigger the actual teleport,
4. Wait 7-8 seconds in a loading screen.
5. Finally arrive
Than to actually travel to that spot 100 in-game meters away. And I am comparing this to movement on what is considered a "top-tier" mount in the game (Sprint 7), have fun getting one of those.
So consider this game a loading screen simulator.
Actual combat or questing? Your character can't sprint more than 3 seconds, and in that 3-second sprint you will have covered around 20-25 meters. Stamina runs out within seconds. And you need to do A LOT of boring repetitive questing, all while you're cursed to travel at the speed of a tortoise.
Game's UI and Mechanics:
The constant plague of a shortage of inventory slots is exacerbated by the high drop rates. High drop rates are in fact detrimental/useless, because the only thing they do is pile up useless junk in your inventory. "Drop Rate: 100% drop rate". More like inventory full 90% of the time and constantly having destroy/delete items.
There's also items that you can't even destroy/sell that just clutter up inventory slots. Advice you'll get for those is, "Make an alt and transfer the items to that alt and then delete that alt." If it is an item you can transfer, lol.
The inventory can be expanded yeah, but it takes dozens of hours, and though there is a dungeon to get bag slots fast, guess what? It's a 5-man dungeon XD
Conclusion:
Not worth your time unless you're a complete masochist or have a life. Devs just focus on making random changes or changes they like. They don't really care about suggestions, avoid like the plague. Only good thing about my time playing the game was how nice the few people I got to know here were, but the actual game/private server? Absolute thrash.
