I've lost form the past few months, but I was doing a home exercise, doing 15 pushups every 2-3 mins for 2-3 hours or more. I'm willing to start again and start counting them. Thanks for reminding me! :]

you're not supposed to do that all the time, are you? That would be bad for your muscle, you should give him time to "recompose", you know? or not? I mean, you don go to gym to train your chest every day...
if you read the previous posts...
Do waste your body by doing alot of pushups in a day. your muscles will just get destroyed, if you want to build muscle you must have a good rest time so the muscles can rebuild again.
Im starting counting today. will do 100 each day.
If you over train you will not get the best benefits, but too much of anything is bad, too much oxygen is bad, too much water is bad!
Like I already posted, this will make you more aware of your body, listen to your body and rest when you need. I built some really great strength doing this and I'm now doing it with other exercises (doing bridges at the moment).
If you are afraid of doing too much, you will always do too little!!!
i've started doing dynamic pushups :w00t:
Going to do this too, but I have 1 problem, you know that feeling when something hits your elbow at some electric bone i call it xD
The first few pushups will make me feel a simular feeling in my left elbow, only a lot less painfull/annoying.
Didn't he do this in the Travis video, Turn? Love that song.
I'm doing something we call here in BR as: "negative training"
amazing I must say.
Eye of the tiger fellas.

oh yea well theres that.
but there is more reasons besides the obvious ones haha
According to my calculations it is likely for me to do 10,000 pushups for 45 days.
money where ya mouth is, gogogo
At first, I can only make 1-3 push ups. After 2-3 weeks, I can make 18-20 2-3x a day (20 last night). Maybe when I got at home later, i'll try 25 ^^
Thanks for this kind of challenge guys, my muscles are now pumping ^^ (and getting bigger). I'll try my best to finish this 10,000 push ups :D
Yeah mate, you're the one as well who told me to continue this. Now look, I can make 20 ^^
Thanks again :D
I couldnt even make 5, i'm doing 15 2x per day now lol
I did a 100 now.... in 2 days and my tit muscles hurt a bit.
Gonne start over tomorrow and do a 100 a day though. My friend an my brother wanted to join to and want me to start at the same time as they do.
Could lifting 2 4.5kg weights on each arm count?
im doing 3 sets of 100 per day now.
3 sets of 100 per day? Dude be careful you might over do it. Try to make more sets with less pushups per set with small breaks between each set.
Only 80 today, feeling lazy XD, total of 240.
me finished in 1 hour??
Naww, I've maybe done 200 in my lifetime.. How I manage to stay abnormally skinny is beyond me.
Good luck to any who attempt/attempted
300
day 3
Right
on
Schedule
im pretty sure the challenge was to improve fitness not see who can one-up the other :zippy:
i already forgot the count. xd i will restart and write in a paper how many push ups i did. Dynamic Push-ups counts too right?
My brother says he will do it.. his age: 12 but I might...
i dont see why it wouldn't count :3
All pushups variations count.
From on your knees to 1 handed jump pushups.
Here are some variations I did that you could research and try, just remember to stick to something appropriate for your current fitness.
Hindu, dive bomber, spiderman, walkout, handstand with wall support, 1 handed, clap and staggered.

on a serious note: ill be doing more today <3
I'm done! 10,000 :) feels good to accomplish this.
all i can say is O_O 10,00 push ups is MAD
I know I said I'd have a whack at this but I had no motivation. I started the gym saturday so as of this saturday I'll begin my 10,000 countdown!
On a morning, I do 3 sets of 20 reps. Same goes for the evening, so there's 120 nailed each day. By that logic, it should take me 84 days to complete my 10,000!
Good luck :} LOL 84 days thats a long long time
Thanks. :):
84 days isn't that long. Just shy of 3 months. Having said that 10,000 pushups is a lot of pushups.
the more the marrier!
Well, I was doing a hundred a day, and my muscles did hurt. But now they don't hurt the day after 1 time 100.. Feels like I'm doing nothing.
Might make it sets of 150.
Sounds crazy more than fun....
Capture a photo or your muscles lawl
10,000 is far too much. Ever heard of law of diminishing return. Your body will get so used to the exercise that it will not be "stressing" it anymore and further growth wont be so possible
That's why you don't stick to the pushups you start with or the reps you begin with.
Increase your reps, become more explosive, do harder variations. The aim here is not only to improve physical fitness but mental also. I'm not trying to put on size, that's pointless, unless your ego is overpowering you and then it can be a nice little safety net "look how big my muscles are!"
So many people say "that's too much!" those people are in fear of themselves! Do the 10k pushups and try telling me you didn't get gains :P
i have been doing 2 months now and i am at 1789
And i haven't gotten to do in the last 2 weeks cus im sick ;(
I don't think ill be counting how long it will take me because it will take long for sure :P
You guys should do before and after pictures too! I plan on doing so monthly to visualize my progress at the gym.
I'll start again and do before and after pics if you guys promise.not to fap to them :zippy:
I'll be uploading my training here, Канал пользователя leepricetraining - YouTube
I have 2 pushups videos up atm, 1 set of 50 and 1 set of 60.
Went to the gym last night.
I'll take before picture tonight, and start the pushups again
Yay, since my injury is healed, i'm back for this challenge!
I will recount it starting from today.
Just did 50 (25 knuckles shit this) today.
I can do now 30 straight and I am doing it 2x a day. Im going to try 35 and do it 3x a day ^^
So I can reach the max, faster :D
Just found this topic. Neat idea.
Going to use a variety of different pushups and also my "Perfect Pushup":
Amazon.com: Perfect Pushup - Original: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41F%2BM6PiwWL.@@AMEPARAM@@41F%2BM6PiwWL
Good idea :D gonna try this. starting with 20/day
Did 145 today..
So i did a total of 195 in 2days.
Still long way to go~
On 1100 atm, day 12. Still need to do 100 -.-
Before:

LETS DO THIS!
Lol.
Might wanna take pictures of what you workout from pushups.
This varies a bit depending on what type of pushups you are doing, but here's an example:
Close-Grip Push Ups - Exercise Form & Techniques, Pictures & Video
I personally like Hindu pushups (better than dive bomber pushups) since it's more of a full body movement with the added benefit of forcing you into the Yoga position "Upward facing dog".
Dafuq
I'm doing training in general as well as this challenge so ill post a picture evetynow and then showing progress
I've been forgetting to post.
Did 580 already~
So I've started myself a spreadsheet up counting how many I do each day and having a running total.
90 pushups on the clock already! Let's do this! :thumbup1:
Spreadsheet definitely sounds like the best way to record all this...*opens notepad instead out of laziness* :ott1:
I haven't done many pushups just yet -- only 55 as of this post. Totally slacking. Next time I post I'll make sure to be in the triple digits...!
On that note, this kewl 10k pushup idea could totally be bundled with squats and situps too for an even more well-rounded workout.
That has been discussed already in the thread LOL.
Anyway I'm really eager to keep going but I have penonia or something
Damn that i should've use a spreadsheet ! LOL
Too lazy, ;-;
Total : 650
Spreadsheets make it easier to analyse. They help you track progess, find out your weakest days and can keep a running total for you to reach that big 10k!
I can do 10,000 in a second.:ott1:
700!
Just did 50.
Damn i'm lazy to do 100 reps per day. ;-;
Now, I am making 100-105 each day ^^ (35, doing it 3x :D )
1960, day 18...
160 to much... ;D
i should be able to start up again, i feel much better now :)
850.
post2short.
Haven't done any this weekend. Dark times man!
900.
Shall do another 100 at night to make it to 1000 ! ;)
Gym tonight 8D
Protip: Don't take days off. Even if it means doing small amounts in comparison to normal, keep it going. I didn't do any for 2 days and now I'm back to square one in terms of rep count. Not to mention, its 2 days extra I could've done without.
Maple tip: never tell anyone your password.
:zippy:
Ot: back from the gym
/flex
Yay, 1000!
But i got bored and did another 50 so it's
1050 now! :o
I think posting always in the thread is kinda crap but I am just posting to tell what I've made/done or where I am now, and what are the improvements I've made.
So, last night I just did 48 push up straight (and got that a video ^^) but I think for others 48 is kinda noob/crap. Tbh, my normal pushups I've do always is 25-30 and I got amazed when I am watching the video I recorded (because I don't want to count when I am doing pushup) and I think for me that's a good goal that got 47 pushup straight.
I got a question, do you think 25-30 and 40 are kinda crap for a 15 years old normal person like me? I don't go in gym, and this is my first exercise challenge I accepted.
+ Can you guys tell me how many pushups can you do in a straight one. *It's alright if you ignore this question, just wondering though :)
Had a painful ache in my back .. and still have it, but its not that bad .. so I had to take a break. Gotta get better sooner so I can get back to training.
Keep working at it mate, I take a day or 2 days off quite often if I feel like I need it. If you keep up the training then 2 days off in the great scheme of things wont even register :P
It feels like a lot right now but keep going! ;)
It's easier to have no "rest days" with body weight exercises than with weights but listen to your body :)
Only measure yourself against yourself. If you look at some1 else who can do more you can convince yourself you aren't doing well, if you look at someone who can do less you will inflate your ego!
You are making progress which = good! :thumbup1:
It's great that you are filming yourself too, you can check your form and make sure your technique is ok.
Aye, listen to your body mate. If it's muscle ache it could be because you are working them! If it's an injury it could be worse but either way all you need is good rest and good food!
Take the time you have now while you are not training to research pushup technique and maybe learn other exercises too! :)
Alright mate, thaks for that :)
@exclamatio its an injury I got while training volleyball .. I've had a similar one 2 years ago, but this one seems to be a bit more serious so I guess I'll have to visit a specialist for it. The pain is in bottom of my back .. as I know it might be caused by problem with nerves there.
So keen to start now I am better :D
1200!
challenge accpeted :P maybe doing some more (if possible)
this is a great post!
Forgot to post for like a few days or so?
1600 !
Comeon, maybe gonna do 200 tomorrow for 1800 ! :D
I know there are various forms of "pushups" but here's a video demonstrating the correct way to do the conventional press up.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...type=2&theater
It's an eye-opener really, considering I've done 400 press-ups in a completely different way. Hopefully this is of some help to you all, and hopefully it betters your technique - it certainly bettered mine.
