No gym is complete without treadmills ^^
you really think I should get a treadmill?
A gym isn't complete without DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). Its a great way to work out and have some fun at the same time. I would buy a small T.V (19" or 21") and place it in the gym. Personally I find it hard to work out without music or some form of entertainment.
You should have seen Bowflex advertisements on T.V by now. Rather than buying different equipments, you can buy one that pretty much has everything in it. Bowflex is also cheap compared to all those fancy machines and it is really easy to use.
Treadmills and bikes are so gay. Only buy those if you usually have no conditions outside. Else, some fresh air is essential for your health :P
mhm, I also agree that treadmills and bikes are gay. Yet, I am going to buy a tv I think I might have an extra one or I will buy a plasma tv which is going to like a 45'. I'm also going to put a home stero with a radio in it. Is there a website to bowflex so I can take a closer glimpse at it? I do have DDR on ps2 so, it's complete :) rofl. I'm waiting for those mats to come in...
Gym ftw. i wish i had one :(
True. It's actually really messed up how some people work. You basicly got people go to their work in a car, come out of work, drive to a gym and then go on a bike there... i mean seriously, it's much easier to just use a regular bike and cycle to work, you do 2 things at the same time.
Mhm, I believe that treadmills are stupid because you can run outside. Bikes are stupid because you can ride them outside rofl. Ahhh I gotta clean up the stuff so I can place the mats down when I get them...
Theres nothing wrong with treadmills...Yes its more Beneficial to run/jog outside because your taking in fresh air as well. But most the time people use in door Gym treadmills or Cycling machines for 15/20mins to warm up there muscles and get the heart pumping before there main work out. Each machine has its own proper purpose if you know what your doing to begin with.
And call me old fasion, but what kinda Gym has a bloody TV in the same room :s. Not even gay ass camp fitness suites has TV's in them for you to watch while you work out...During your training you should always have both your mind and your eyes focused on exactally what your doing, and concentrate on controlling your breathing. Not doing Bicep curls while watching MTV -___-.

why on earth make a room for it the garage is there for this xD
in mine i got a boxing bag, bycicle, 2 mixed machines. and a freakin stereo, tbh not much else needed.
Don't get a treadmill, run outside.
- Get an exercise mat - gym floor won't do (abs, push ups, stretching, etc)
- Get an exercise ball - you'll find it very useful with ab workouts, etc.
- Get a chin-up bar.
- Get dumbbells: 5lbs, 10lbs, 12 1/2 lbs, 15lbs. (Not 1-5lbs...useless)
- Get a 45lbs barbell, with a few plates ranging from 2 1/2lbs - 25 lbs. (Squats, bench press)
- Get a bench
- Run outside.
- Find a place with stairs, and run up and down them, or get the stairwell thing, with 3 steps, and walk up and down it.
- A few large mirrors.
You don't really need machines, free weights are much better, because they help your stabilizing muscles.
Things to look out for:
- Make sure that the gym isn't above another room, with a lot of weights / equipment it could collapse.
- Make sure that when getting a punching bag, you attach it to a sturdy ceiling if you do, or you could get the ones that are sand filled and are planted on the ground (those tend to move too much though).
Just curious, what are the large mirrors for? Wouldn't one be enough? lol

Wii's are brilliant when it comes to working out. Sweat away at Wii Sports and them pounds will drop off ;D
I saw Moofin say add a bowflex. I couldn't agree more. If you wanna get ripped, that's the way to do it.
I personally know 5 people with a bowflex and all of them are ripped to shit.
