There has been a new family of spiders been discovered, Scientists in the United States say they have found a new family of spiders in the caves of California and Oregon,Spanning more than seven centimetres with its legs extended, the spider has pointed fearsome claws. Scientists have named it Trogloraptor or cave robber, but they have no idea what it eats. It is native to America so if your not from America your safe from these spiders. Scientists who identified the spider as a new family believe it hunts by hanging from strands of silk from the cave roof, snapping up passing prey with its long legs and oversized claws.It is the first new family of spiders to be found in North America since the 1890s and scientists believe there could be many more similar species hidden in forests and caves in the country.
