What exactly did you find confusing? I suppose there are a few ways to interpret the film, did he imagine the whole time he was a police officer?
I just liked all the drugy conversations, the whole bike think cracked me up :p

and also, near the end, when the head cop guy tells him they were trying to catch his friend the whole time, and he went back to his, or what looked like, his changing room and it ended up being the girl in the suit?
also, who was that guy with the black hair in the end at the restaurant, and what did he call the girl? i thought her name was donna or something and it sounded like he caulled her aubry or audry?
