Anyone who knows about MazdaSpeed3's
Im going to purchase a new 2010 Mazdaspeed3, but the 2011 model is coming out soon. Does anyone know if they are going to change the performance on the car, because i know for sure some cosmetics will be changed.
Another words 2010vs2011

*yack*
It's a front wheel drive with a 4-cylinder engine lol, none of which should ever be in the same sentence as "performance".
Having said that though, they will most probably be doing an engine change since they've been using the 2.3L MZR now for 3 years. I'm clearly not a fan of "hot hatches" but if i were you i'd wait it out and see what changes they make.
*fingers crossed* Here's hoping for a 3.5L V6!

I feel you on that torque steer. But 15.5 psi bone stock come on! But i think they wont change much since 2010 is the first of the 2nd gen. Maybe 3rd gen ?

Pshh, i run 15 PSI on my Z32 with stock 21 year old turbos :P
But i mean it's probably just a matter of 2-3 months before they at the very least release the specs for the '11 model, so you may as well wait it out and see... nothing worse than buying a new car and a month later seeing a vastly superior model for the same price you paid. Not to mention that once the '11 model is released, the '10 will drop in price.

So you're nizmo is stock? No boost control or anything?
But yeah i feel you, im going to wait a few months to save more money anyway.

I've got a tiny manual boost controller to get it to 15 (stock is 9), but that's about it. The VG30DETT hits about 310HP stock standard, add in a heavy duty gearbox from a Nissan Cima with a modified valve body, and it rips up the straights :P

I have high respects for nizmos man. All of my good friends have 240's the rwd is so much fun. But i personally dont have the time to be maintaining 20 yr old cars.

Yea, i know what you mean. Maintain it as best as you can, but 20 year old parts will still fail or break when you least expect it. Though once you've gone through all that and replaced almost every part with new oem replacements, it's just as reliable as any other car.
Though having to fork out $3,700 every 5 years for a plenum pull and major servicing sucks arse lol. I'm up for mine this year, hooray!
