Yes, he is a super hero.
Powers alone do not make a super hero nor a super villian. It's more about what you do with what you got; Batman is of course a normal man but is inventive, smart, quick thinking.. The greatest detective of all time. Yes, he trained his body well, and has an athlete's form, but he is just a man, prone to the same harms as anyone else.. He just has quite a few more gadjets than most, and a mountain of money to fund such things.
He's one of the best super heroes of all time, mainly because he isn't all powerful.. You could name over a hundred beings more powerful than him, but he'd beat most of them.. He is DC's Captain America, and even Cap had some powers, of course due to the "Super Soldier Serum"... But that's another story.
lol.. Batman doesn't have any superhuman NOR superhero powers... he has trained and practiced his body so well that he is NEAR super human powers but he doesn't possess anything different than anyone else.. he just has a great body that has been trained well and a masterful mind.

Im with Ex to, batman i believe is just a very good crime-fighter or a childs role model or hero, he may be rich and have kool weapons and a built body and brains, that dont make him super-hero, super-heros have unhuman powers, flight, laser eyes, super-human strength, as batman does not have these characteristics, if he is shot in the head, he will die, if superman is shot in the head, no effect, making him a super-hero, saying sayin batman is a superhero because of his abilities is saying if I was to train and get muscular and smart and think quick on instincts, and i started fighting crimes and bad people, would you consider me a superhero, no, thats my opinion!
It's what a person does with his abilities, not what his abilities are, that make one a super hero or a super villian...

A superhero is meant to have "super human powers", and since Batman only possesses abilities of a regular human (albeit greater than most), he can't be a superhero. I'm with Ex, he's just a hero.
Saying that Batman is a superhero because of the way he uses his abilities is like saying the strongest man in the world is a superhero if he uses his superior strength to lift a weight, which noone else could lift, off of someone to prevent them dying. He'd be a hero alright, but not a superhero.

While other "superhero" chaps suchas Spiderman and Superman got their shit through birth or a freakish mutation; batman earned his super abilities. He's super strong and super badass.. he worked for it and achieed greatly. Batman is the shit and I enjoy being him.

tbh, you guys can have your opinions and all that, and the subject is debatable like anything else, but imo Batman is the embodiment of a super hero.
You don't have to have super powers to be a super hero.. This is a misconception...

imo, a "superpower" would be something like lifting a whole building, shooting lasers from ur eyes or fingers, being able to fly, perhaps being able to teleport, and all the rest.
and since you CANNOT in anyway legitly train urself to aquire any of thoes, then in my opinion batman is not a superhero. spiderman (agility+strength), superman (lasers + strength + speed + flying), and the fantastic 4 (elastic, flames, invisibility, and strength) in my opinion ARE superheros because they fit my ideologies of a superpower and hence a superhero just fine.

He's a super hero to some, to some he's not. It all pends on what you think of a super hero. It's just opinion.
Batman is as much of a superhero as the G.I. Joes are. Now the G.I. Joes are something else. Just look at them. They are fighting this massive war with Cobra. They have tanks, planes, and kick ass guns. Same with Cobra, but they have Ninja's also! Just watch them duke it out. Bulliets and missils flying all of the place. Things blowing up left and right. Just one thing out of that all amazes me. No one dies. Really now! No one ever dies. That has to be amazeing. You haveing this massive war going on between the G.I. Joes and Cobra with high tech weapons. You are seeing all of bulliets flying and bombs exploding but no one gets killed. Now that's skill. Skill that needs to be applied to the world today. The G.I. Joes can fight a war with Cobra without killing anyone, so why can't we! I mean just look at it. You can have all of the cool stuff with war and no one dies!
Another thing I don't really understand. It's that Sonic game. Really now? How stupid is Dr Robotnic? He can make massive armies buy turning cute little fuzzy animales into bad ass robot things that razor sharp teeth! He also has his own rip off of the Death Star called the Deat Egg. By far he isn't stupid at all being able to do all of that. What really makes him stupid is the fact this headgehod and mutant fox beat his ass silly. I mean just look at what he has. A fucking Death Star! Why don't he just blow up the damn planet the damn blue headgehog is on? Really now? Just get it done and over with. Another thing what is up with the fox Miles "Tails" Power? He has not one but two tails! Ok I can see that. He is just a mutant freak, but what really gets to me is the fact he can spin them around in a circle to fly. Get reall now! The would just tangle up if he were to really try that. Which wouldn't be a bad thing. For him to do it and fall to his death. He is just plain stupid looking. Well he is kind of cute but Sonic is the real ugly one. Nothing cute about him at all.
Speaking of foxes. What the hell is up with that Andros guy from StarFox 64? I mean he is just a floating brain for crying out loud. You are playing the story and see him as a real person in a random pic. Ok I can see how he would look like that, but then explain to me how his brain can grow 10,000 time and he develop the skill to shot lasers from his eyes? Now that is what I don't get. How in the hell does he become like that? Wouldn't a zomebie just love to get a hold of that!
Zombies! Yes zomebies! Why on earth do they want brains? You see them walking around mindless and just saying "brains" over and over but when it comes down to it. They are not even that picky. Oh here we go on another thing. Jedi's are sposed to have this ability to see the future. So why in the hell they didn't see it comming? I mean really? Something that serious and they didn't even see it comming. So much for the all knowing and all seeing Jedi. I am actually glade to what happen to them. They had it comming. They could have stoped it but they didn't. Serves them right to get thier ass kicked. Also, why did they die so fast? I mean really. They got sloughtered like it was nothing. Get real now. A single Jedi could take down an entire batallion easily but here they got owned so badly it is just funny. At least one good thing come of it. Vader was born and he is just kick ass.
Though he may look kick ass, all of that stuff makes him a wimp. Just looked at how fast and aglile Anakin was. Then you look at how slow and stiff Vader is. What happen to him? I guess old age cought up with him or something.

He has litterly everything you could ever think of. Probally has a toothbrush that can wipe his ass, brush his teeth, take a urine sample, shoot a poison dart at someone and tell the time. All in which can be done at the same time! Not just the gagets he has but the cars! He has cars more powerful then tanks. Now is something wrong there or not?

I guess it doesn't matter when you can have a helicopter thing extend from his head. And what is up with thoes exploding messages he always recieves. Why don't they just call him instead of giving him a peice of paper that blows up 10 seconds latter? It would be so much cheaper if they did it a normal way, but then again people just like to be big and flashy.
Why do flashy things get people attention so much? It's like it mesmorizes us. Just like the damn Telitubies. What are they? Aliens? Deamons? I myself belive them to be a spawn of the devil sent upon the earth to steal away the minds of our youth. Just think about it? They talk but we don't understand them. The only people that do are the young ones. They take control over the minds of the youth with the devil's tongue. It's evil just like Disney.
Disney is pure evil. If you are a company that is against every from of violence then you must be evil. Not just evil but stupid. Just watch some of their animated films and tell me they are not stupid. You are about to see the protagonist and the antagonist do their final show down just to end up singing and danceing. How in the hell does that come about? What point does it server anyways? Ok people lets get together and start singing and danceing about how badly I am going to beat you in this fight. Then who ever does it the best wins! Which we all know who will win. Since the good guys always win.
Why does that actually happen? Why must the good guys always win? I can only think of three movies where the good guys came on top, Star Wars Ep III & V and Saw. Other then thoes movies I have yet to see the badies win! Why is that? Why can't they ever win? Why must they always be defeated? Why can't we ever have a change? Guess we don't want a change.
