Re: Best jobs for under 16?
idk bout you, but here we got min wage for under 18, for litteraly every age after 14.
im getting around 5$ an hour, on my nib job.
i dont do much but i guess its worth my time. i also got a gf cus of the job so, call me lucky. i suggest looking for small weird places[not too weird or creepy] that are in a need of workers.
Its really not so bad to work at your age, aslong as you dont overdo it.

Your post made no sense.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
For under 16 the only job I think of really is a paper round..

He's saying that his country allows minimum wage for people aged 14+ and ask anywhere you go (mainly small places) for a job for yourself.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
The minimum wage here in Canada is $10.15. You can work anywhere that you dont have to lift or do labour, like McDonalds or any other fast-food restaurant. I'm not sure for anything else.
If that doesn't help, collect copper and different metals. It may not seem much, but when people have their heavy garbage out, you could be looking at $250 at the end of the day. It adds up.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
Code a Minecraft plugin and release it to the Minecraft Forums with an ******* link, make sure it's good. Or do something like that :]
Unless you don't code. Then I don't know.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
I used to work for some place that hosts parties/ balls/ galas etc. I'd be there usually to aid the bar people with getting materials they need once they run out.
Not bad for working 2 days a week and making $390 a month considering I'm still in school. Just extra $$ in my pocket for when I graduate
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
I'm not entirely sure the legal working age in your country is, but when I was 14 my first job was a cashier at TacoTime (Canadian Taco-Bell) Earning a nice minimum wage. So do not expect to become rich working where you are and the age you are at.

I wouldn't be too sure about the last bit. There's been many teenage entrepreneurs that have came from nothing, Richard Branson is one, he started at age of 16 creating his own magazine called 'Student' which was a success, from that to now you'll see he's highly successful.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
You can work from 13 in the UK, all you can do is what the government classes as light work which doesn't affect your health, safety or education like a paper round or working in a corner shop for a few hours a week.

Re: Best jobs for under 16?
Just read what I said.
Time is the most valuable thing you have and therefore you must wisely use it.
Really, how hard is it to figure out ?
If you work now, you'll lose the time in which you could've practiced for a job or self-development.. Which would grant you a better future.
Work now, lose time and live with a shitty job that's averagely paid..
Think about it mate, after all..
Who am I? If you don't believe me ( I believe I'll be pretty damn succesful in life, I am right now.. and no, I am not a guy that loves himself a lot, just a fact.) just read some John C. Maxwell articles/books, he briefly explains those things.
But, in fact, pick any succesful guy you know and let him be your example...
Good luck.

At 16 I got a job at Primark, I worked there for two years of my life and every day I felt the need to kill myself because it was so soul crushing, after the glitz and glamour wear off you realise that your stuck in a dead-end job that pays useless wages.
Your best bet? Forget about finding a serious job, you’re not mature enough for them just yet. Just get a paper round, and stay at school. You have years to grow up, and you’ll never get the most important ones back.
Last I checked on my receipt it said GST: %9, PST% 6. :Derp:, Same thing when I was 13, 12, 10...

You’re in Canada, I’m in the United Kingdom… Your laws are not my laws.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
I'd suggest you focus more on school than getting a job.
When you finish school and head to college is the ideal time to look for a part time job as EMA has now been scraped, when I was 14 the last thing I was worried about was money and job.
When you hit 16 - 18 look for a job in a local supermarket, start working part time then once you've finished college you'll most likely be given a full time position at said supermarket. Sainsbury's are great to work for if you ask me.

Most Supermarkets are now very hesitant to hire anyone under the age of 18 full-time and out of the Christmas trading months due to licensing laws, whilst working there you’ll only be able to stack shelf’s and deal with stock. You won’t be allowed to work on a checkout, kiosk or customer services due to the possibility of alcohol being sold.

I just turned 16 today, I've got my national insurance number and I'm also looking for a job, I have no idea where I could find a job that pays good money.

Basically you want to be looking in stores like Primark, McDonalds, and other stores similar to that. They tend to take on a lot of 16 year-olds around this time of year (school leaving). You might have a better chance working somewhere like that next year though if you apply as soon as you leave school.
Re: Best jobs for under 16?
I don't really know how it works in the UK (Since I'm from Holland), but maybe you could try to get a job in a local food market or store? You might learn some useful things there and, ofcourse, you'll get some money for it. Idk about any "age limits", but that's what I would do..

There's no point commenting if you don't know...
