Omerta, if you wish to believe the PS3 doesn't get hot, and wouldn't fry you if you tried to cool it off with water while it's on, then be my guest and try it, but the simple fact is that the PS3 is exactly the same in that matter, because incase you didn't know, the 360 doesn't actually have any heat problems, it does however have a problem with people putting it in confined spaces and then posting on the internet how the 360 has heat problems.

im perfectly aware of this, i put some games against the side of my ps3, partially blocking the fan, it got hot, i dont put the games there anymore. i was simply saying that i think the ps3 is the better console

block the fan or put anything in an enclosed space and it gets hot. i dont have a 360 so i dont know if it does get uber hot, my ps3 doesnt seem to get overly hot so its all ok.

The original design of the x360 does have heat problems. The heat sink would get to hot, warp in shape slightly, detach from the chip, and cause them to fry. The result is the red ring of death.

Though the revised heat sink design that they came out with early this year fixed it.

But yeah. The biggest reason for the over heating is due to poor air circulation.

Also. The PS3 does produce a lot less heat. Even under a two hour run of folding at home.

And the PS3 is able to run under sauna conditions for prolonged time. Which did shock me.

Anyways this thread isn't about PS3 vs x360.

And that kid is so damn stupid. I couldn't help but laugh.

the wii is in front due to its price , but i can assure you that those tables arent corrrect , while in some countries , the wii is at front on others they arent , it can be the xbox360 or the ps3 ( I doubt but i can dream )
1 example is in Portugal for example , on 150 Friends i can assure you noone has a Wii since well we dont like the games , 80% xbox360 and 40% ps3 ( some like me have both )
btw about the sauna , i can tell you that on a room at 30

The Wii's price is bogus anyway, after i bought the component cable, lan adapter and Zelda i was 360 euro's lighter, for 400 at that time you had the premium pack with Forza 2, so the Wii was 10% less then the 360, not really impressive. Infact if you buy the Wii now and buy a game with the lan adapter (as it's standard in the 360) then it sets you back 330 euro, while i can get the Core version for 250 now leaving you with 80 euro for games.

Btw how do you get these heat problems, never had them, and mine has been on whole days at the hottest days with nothing cooling it down except it's own hardware.
