While i am against guns, only a ignorant fool would think that removing guns from the people would solve things. Yes you would eliminate such things like this, however with the huge amount of unregistered firearms you would still have the criminals running around with them.
So yes certain deaths would be avoided, but crimes would increase at a rapid speed, not to mention the amount of deaths due to it.

The whole reason guns don't get touched (besides the love for them by most republicans) is that the solution to this problems is non-existent, there are just way and way too many unregistered guns.

As subject on my exam in English (If you notice that I am from Denmark, you will know that English is a "2nd language" that you learn in school), I had something about guns & laws in USA. I found that in a state (Can't remember which one) it said that "open carry without license" was allowed if the firearm had 20 rounds or less... In my ears it sounds like this: You can run around and wave your gun if it only haves 20 rounds or less in it.. (But I do not know all those words, so my understanding of the sentense might not be correct)..

And I think to remember that I saw a satistic made, that there had been an increase of 70% of firearms and 140% bullets in Wall-Mart(?) or some other big company, after 9/11..

Ofcourse there are, but on any given day i break atleast a few laws... not "serious" ones, however i bet those people didn't think that would happen and figured it wasn't a huge deal.

I know this man, i've seen the article about it, he's war veteran and this happened to him, you wanna tell him that he should give up his guns?

I'm as anti-gun as you can possibly imagine, if i could remove them all then i would, but aslong as you can only remove them from good citizens and not from the criminals, then you can't make any laws which would remove them from the regular citizens.

There are just so many unregistered guns, that even if you were to crackdown on all guns, then it would probably still take 50 years to get a good amount off the streets.

Guns are easy, guns strike fear in to people, are more deadly, can be used from a distance etc etc, using a knife carries a much bigger risk, if you attack someone with it then the chances of it ending bad for the attacker is much bigger, so in the end they won't attack as easily.

As for not dieing a horrible death... well 2 things, first of all you have better chances of survival, but if you are gonna die then i don't see why it would be less horrible then from a gun. You might not know this, but most people can't put a bullet in your head, they will likely miss thus they will shoot you in the stomach instead, which will cause you to bleed out. The only way most people can put 1 in your head is from very close range, which would be stupid as the attacker would be more open to an attack.

Actually, it depends on where you shoot. If you shoot at the head or near the heart. Then yeah, you're instantly dead. But when shot in the arm, shoulder, knee etc. you'd slowly die due to blood loss. That's when it hurts. And it's the exactly the same with knifes. Except the fact that with a gun, you can hit in long range ;D.

I think every house hold should atleast have a gun license and should have a gun at home somewhere. Its good for safety and if something does happen you can always protect yourself. I blame the kid but more on the parents because they dont know how to teach his child to be a good and successful kid.

Uh... Try getting a bullet in your stomach and see how that is. Bullets are WAY worse than knives. A cut in your arm heals, a bullet may not.
