Might wanna elaborate a little bit on how he treats you, just annoying digs, or full on punches? I do agree that you shouldn't just kick his ass, could put you in alot more trouble... and also if he's doing this to you and you haven't already stood up for yourself chances are you might struggle to kick his ass :P
Just talk down to him, make him feel like the weaker man. At the end of the day, you are the better person for not randomly picking on someone for whatever reason.
The groin might not be the best idea. I never had to do it myself so I'm not sure of the consequences. I only got into 1 fight during my time at highschool and all I did was hit his nose before the 'fight' was broken up. Still, if you have no alternative (the bully is a tough guy) it might not be all that bad if it's necessary to inflict pain.
Just beat him up in front of people, yes break his bones, but don't go too far and use a gun or a knife. Use anything else, baseball bat?
