urrrrm, whats the game called?
whats it about??
what do you do in teh game?
what platform?
if you want big companies to listen, send them a formal letter with a letter head from the games company telling them about the game.
Ask if they would like to test the game and if they like it would they consider selling it for a probational period (ask this after they reply) and if it sells well to sell it for longer.
thats about as much as I cen tell you.
Thanks a lot for those advises :)
You can find more info about the game on this thread :

cool has the game/developers got a site I can visit?
Have you seen astronoid's website ? Because I don't think the studio (Aleph0) has got another site about their company, but perhaps they have. I'm sorry I don't know.

Big websites tend to get a lot of stuff. You should try working with them to create some large promotion on the game. MAybe some new events. Another way is to advertise to your personal friends, it won't create a 1,000 player fanbase but it's more likely people will come play if it already has some dedicated players.
Sure I would like to do a big promotion with big websites as you say.
But I don't manage it. Don't manage to get in touch with them...
First I don't know which are the big important sites, then when I write e-mails I have no answer... it's very hard to get in touch, and even harder to have them being interested by the game...
Anyway, thanks for the replies :)
All I can say is keep trying and keep spamming. You'll get people's attention soon enough. Once more and more people notice it then the bigger places will also. Then you know what happens after that.
Edit: Also another big thing for it is to see if the dev team can make an english website. English is the universal language thus meaning more people know it then French. This will aid in the appel to play it. I know I don't like to play games that are in a language that I don't speak.
NOpeace - out
Thanks for your reply.
In fact, Astronoid already has an english website :

Woah,
This game seems really amazing.
Some games should be outta the shop and this game should enter the shop >.<
Actually this game is in French, so maybe I could talk about it with some french publishers (I'm french, that's why)
I am starting right now, I am already sending messages. I am also sending messages to the biggest french gaming website : http://jeuxvideo.com, cause they might help us! :)

:) (very big smile indeed !)
I'm so happy to read that, after struggling alone for all that time... you're my Messiah !
I'll send you my e-mail by PM if you prefer to talk in french.
Thank you so much for your post !
Have a look at my topic on astronoid, I've just posted something explaining more why I find Astronoid fantastic and why some people didn't play it enough to appreciate it "
the game looks pretty good, I like the idea of a fast paced space race :D
if you can get the publicity this could do quite well for itself.
Thank you for the feedback Flameingskull, have you tried it ?
a fenomenal game :D
i´ll ad it in some estonian gaming forums if this is any help
but they have a rather small publicity i can tell you that....
no sorry, didn't have time to download it. but I will at some point, straight from the screen shots and the video it looked good, then I read about the game itself and the idea was very good, thus my opinion was created.Originally Posted by snail1
if he keeps emailing them they could just think he was an unprofessional guy trying to con them, what he really needs to do is call them up and write letters because emails can always be faked easily, if you leave real contact details and call them up constantly they might listen to you.Originally Posted by NoPeace
Thanks for the advises Flameingskull.
And thanks for the support Le Bastardo :) , it was nice to meet you on tracks (even if it was short... we'll have other occasions I hope).
You know what ? On french TV tonight on the news, they were saying Estonia was one of the first eurpean country concerning internet and new technologies in general (far better than France they said), I thought about what you were saying on this thread when I saw this news ;)
