So can the process of designing and/or making computer games have the right to be called art form?
Yeah I guess it could be considered so. I mean if by designing computer games you are referring to graphics then definetly. Though maybe even the thought process as well.
And if by making it you mean all the coding, scripting and stuff then again I'd say yeah. All that stuff requires skills in different areas. One of those being maths. Many people consider that a form of art.

Sure. As stated, it's just a new art form. The amount of time, effort, and skill that goes into it is amazing. Plus, look at the results (at least in most games :P). Not only that, but they have tons of fans (and opposition) and people that critique their work.. sounds like art to me!

i consider art to be any product of human creativity.
so..definitely..designing games is the product of many many thought processes that involve the imagination that are put into action and through that to "create" games as we know it.
i dont believe in "art"...
