It depends on what they did and if they really seem like they are sorry. But for me after I get pissed and go to sleep I normally lose the feeling I had of being pissed or w/e I felt the day before. But then when it happens again I get remembered. So its kind of hard to answer that fully.

I've been hurt once in my life so bad I don't think I can fogive that person. They took one my best friends away from me and I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive them.

Yes, but only for such people who are nice and don't make meaningless things.
If someone who's hurt me feels guilt for what they've done then in my eyes they deserve forgiveness. If they do it again, however - they can get fucked.
I've been through my fair share of rocky relationships, and I have to say, there has been a few where, to this day, I still do not talk to the person. I don't forgive easily at all. Forgiveness, in my eyes, is something someone has to earn. Like trust, and respect.
