I've been wondering if people could be forgived. I've been watching close-by friends and neighbors get divorced for one or two stupid disputes saying that they only hurt each other. I think things can get fixed.
Will you forgive a person if they apologize after hurting you?

but yes i forgive and forget, and almost anyone can (depends on how serious it is tho)

ive been hurt and betrayed by a few people, but who hasnt?
i can forgive and give 2nd chances but thats as far as it goes, it they are repeat offenders and i can forgive but i will remove myself from them, if some1 is going to hurt me repeatidly then they dont deserve to be a part of my life

yeah, it depends on how bad it was. if someone abused me all my life, i will beat the crap out of him before THINKING of forgiving him for that.

I am cursed with an incessant ability to "put myself in other peoples' shoes", so I am pretty quick to forgive even the worst things... but that doesn't mean I forget - you should always learn from your experiences (including learning aboout others and if they can be trusted etc)

I can remember every bad thing that people've done to me, no matter how hard I try to forget, to forgive , I just cannot.
So, guess the answer is No then
I think that it depends; some people I think can be forgiven... some can't... it depends on what they have done, and if you can tell that they are sorry.

I've had people who have constantly hurt me over and over again so to them people who I have constantly forgive I eventually just leave them out of my life instead.
Nearly everytime I always forgive or give myself beathing space to work it out on how I am going to do it because it's easy to forgive but you need to work it out on how and why it happen. I like to understand how it happen in the first place, makes it easier to forgive.
I forgive all people now matter how bad it is I will forgive them and I wont hold grudges over it... simply because by holding grudges you make yourself unhappy you spend time hating and dwelling on what someones done to you and how they have hurt you and or how you can hurt them back instead of enjoying life and moving on... and in the end your no better then them and you will be unhappy because of it.
I agree with Exclamatio, a person who will repetidly hurt you if its serious both times does not deserve to be part of your life, but I still wouldnt hold a grudge over that I simply would choose to exclude them from my life soon as you start holding grudges against people is the moment you start becoming more and more unhappy and start enjoying life less because you will in a sense hate yourself.

depends how much did they hurt me....but mostly if they ask for forgivness :D

Well, it really depends. If some dude runs off and kills my mom or something and asks for forgiveness, then hell no. I'd kill him. But if somebody accidentally puts your math homework into their folder, then I can let it slide :P

Depends.. I know my sisters GF had been living with another man, despite saying she had never slept with a man, or even had sex before.. till he emailed my sis telling her... she confronted her GF and she said she wouldnt have told her at all if she hadn't have found out... which I probably wouldn't forive if that ever happened to me :s
