Car Audio System

I like coming to ragezone to get opinions and advice on products before I buy them because chances are there are many people who know alot more than I do about it.

I have a Dodge Neon 96' and lately i've decided that I would like to get an audio system in it. Now there are a few places around me that I can go to buy and they'll put in it for me etc but i'm guessing that just like pc parts - if you know what to look for it's cheaper online?

Now I know a guy from work that can install the system if I decide to go and buy the subs, amp, speakers etc...problem is I don't really know what i'm looking for. So any advice would be great.

If any of you are into this sort of stuff could you give me some links on what I should buy etc? I mainly listen to 90% hardcore metal, other 10% is rap lol.

oh and my budget is around $300-$350.

speakers arnt that hard to install its just the power supply that is, dependant on the wattage of the system you want u need to think about how to power it id say 2000w shud be pleanty and still not need any external power
