Well insurance has gone extremely high, because of all da boy racers etc..
So anyways u will be looking to pay like 1700 to 2300, a good starting car would be a Nova or a Fiesta 1.1 or 1.2, Any car with Turbo will be high insurance, A hatchback will also be alot of money, Saloon cars like escorts will be cheaper that a fiesta so, if u want cheap insurance get a saloon car instead of a hatchback, get any car below 1.4 for cheaper insurance:

    Nova 1.2 or 1.2 or 1.3
    Fiesta 1.1 or 1.2
    Escort 1.1 or 1.2

You definately looking to pay 1700 to 2300

Unfortunately, in 2-3 years they changing driving age to 21

So be quick and get ur license! :)

I have this trouble, high insurance!!!!, but u have to start somewhere eh?
Might aswell pay for it, or go on ur parents insurance, it will be way cheaper!!
But if u have a accident then ur parents no claims bonus goes down, then the insurance will be even higher :o

Go for it man, get ur own insurance pay high, gets less and less each year :)

cool thats especially the saloon vs hatch back well guess what i found out using auto trader insurence and you wont belive it the insurence of the nova a 1.2 litre 1980ish would cost just under 2k and a vauxhall carlton 2.0 would cost

dont mod your first car, any mods you make bump up ur insurance, so not worth it tbh not till u been driving 3 years, cause the price drops then
