It went laggy then just shut off. After that a database error came up and then I got a message saying that the forums were turned off...

The server is probably just overloaded. I got a "the server is too busy, please try again later" message a day or so ago, just a couple hours ago as well.
IDK, definatly looked like a DDoS attack to me. Database errors only appear if the SQL ports are targeted with SYN floods.
Limiting the concurrent MySQL connections causes vB database errors as well lol. It's nothing, just overload.

it was most probably just an overload of users, on occasion it's been known totake a small nap when there are too many people logged on, wait 5 or so minutes and it's back up.
the ddos attacks usually last for alot longer and are followed by millions of users like yourself spamming my msn asking me what happened to RZ.

Not really, I have been on ragezone ages. Just never had the need to post or even register until now lol.
Well atlast today I got to know why most of the users are not aware of the button called "Search" coz only registered members get to see it. OMG! The Truth has been revealed.
