Describe your Year

So 2014 is near, and a year has passed again. Now lets all take a moment to review 2013. What has happened this year, which big changes happened in your life? Now take all this, and take a song which you think fits to your situation.

For me, this will certainly be Headhunterz - Colors (I'll add a YT link later) - a lot of shit happened and been pushed over some breaking points, but after the rain comes sunshine. Eventually things can only get better. 2013 for me was a year with lots of change. Mostly only good chanhe though. Another one which would fit is OneRepublic - Counting Stars.

Now I'd like to hear your stories, what happened, share it with the others. I'm really looking forward to see some good comments and stories.

Got broken into multiple times with 4 laptops & new PC stolen, father had double heart surgery & i had my license suspended for missing jury duty. A shit-tacular year, i thought i couldn't beat having my house burn down & totaling my car in 2008 but i think this is coming up almost neck & neck. I'm in the worst financial state of my life thus far (opposed to being in the best financial state this time last year) but that is mostly attributed to my new car & the Mrs going on a 3-week holiday to the US for Blizcon, we really needed a break from the bad luck we'd been having.

Overall if the memory of 2013 could forever be purged from my mind i would be a better human being and certainly less cynical about life, but hey shit happens.

My 2013 I would sum up as being shite despite passing my driving test. Breaking up with the ex and then the bullshit that followed has really soured the year.

College, learning to drive and mainly being broke all year lol. Maybe next year I'll have a decent job and own a car.

It was... better than the most.
I managed to get over the worst of my PTSD.
Cut contacts with some toxic friends.
Sort of figured out which branches of medicine interest me the most.
Went to a few folk music festivals.
Was able to hang out with my best friend this summer (he's been living in the uk since, um, 2008

So yeah, I survived another year, huzzah.

Ended a 3 year relationship (very happy about), moved, visited another country, and lots of work.

I started this year working for almost minimum wage as a supervisor at a pizzeria (living in my mums basement for 200 a month I might add).
I ended this year living in a decent apartment 2 hours away from anyone I know (thank god), making considerably more (150%) doing less, and I am back in college doing the things I love.

*shrug*, this year has probably been my most successful year yet. Cheers to 2014.

This year was okay for me; got 2 jobs, finished my internship and i am doing fine on school, still my love life sucks though..

Got a new job in Jan... turns out I hate the job. Broke up with a girl who started systematically stalking me for the following 6 months. Got a huge ticket for driving with expired tags... that one is my fault. Came to RZ to find most people I know who used the board are no longer here. Didn't get to go back to Japan this year. All my college friends have either moved away due to work or grad school. Jaedong lost WCS.

Feels bad man.

Spent nine months preparing with my better half for the arrival of our son and in September we finally got to meet him. Lots of trips to the hospital though. Might've been boring at the time but now he's here with us and safe and healthy, I consider the time spent there well worth it.

This year was pretty good I've met my cousin and we've been talking more ever since so I'm pretty happy about that but the bad thing is that my exams are starting next year so I'm pretty nervous hoping to make it and be able to go to college and study for a good job of course!
