people who flame get warnings if they dont do it often
if in your case you do it constantly on multiple accounts u get banned straight off simple
so every account that cap dtb or sic makes and flames ANY ONE on gets banned
that list will be expanded soon

You guys are just wierd... Flaming isnt the same as insulting ppl even though it should be punished at the same level... There are ways to ban a flamer making him/her unable to return.. its really simple.. ban the ip and then scan for open proxies on all ips connecting to the forum closing all connections that come from an open proxy.. this way the flames will need to find closed proxies which is alot harder to find and they will run out eventually...
And one thing... I dont know any of these discussions since I dont check the General chat very often but athena seems to be totaly unable to take a joke...
ppl in power will always be subject to jokes.. thats life.. look at the president of the US.. I see jokes about him almoust every day.. Dont see him throwing ppl out of the country for it though.. Get a life and stop taking stuff said on a forum so damn seriuos.. An insult is one thing but a joke is something completly diffrent.. learn to tell the diffrence...

You can stop proxy users since you can scan if the ip the traffic is coming form has an open proxy.. if it has just autoban the ip.. there.. one problem gone.. now if the user tries to use closed proxies its still possible to detect them.. look at the package comming from a proxy.. it will actually contain data saying its from a proxy connection.. analyse this and boom.. you have a forum that is not viewable through a proxy..

I know how the net works and I know how a fucking proxy works... This isnt about using a forum.. this is about RUNNING one which would be a hell of a lot more difficult that using one...

That's all very interesting and all, but vB can't be configured to scan connections and autoban ip's.
If you want to ban an ip, then you need to do it manually, and it's impossible to ban all the proxys, so you can't stop them.
