    Doctor Who Finale

    ===============SPOILER===============
Do not read if you plan to watch on BBC iPlayer

Fuuuuck. That was awesome, and kinda sad.

I think it all tied in reeally well at the end, what with Rose being with the Doctor who that regenerated from the Hand. Twas sad that Donna left the way she did, even if she was a tad annoying.

Anyway, season 5 in 2010... WTF. Two years :/

Yeah, what's up with the regenerating hand? I don't get where that came from

    Re: Doctor Who Finale

Nahh, I heard they have 3 specials in 2009, then the actual 5th series is in 2010. It's kinda sad because it's the only program I really watch on TV, and the characters were very well written for, and you can sort of connect to them on a pretty deep level - thus the emotive response when it ended.

But yeah, I will be sad not to see David Tennant whering his glasses on suit, not seeing Donna again, Rose, etc.

EDIT: The regenerating hand was from the 3rd(?) series where he last regenerated and something happened to his hand, so he stored it in a jar. Then when the Tardis was inn trouble, and all of the other factors including Donna and diverging of space (donna and doctor keep bumping into each other no matter what) it made the hand regenerate, taking a part of human from Donna and giving some timelord back.

That's why Donna's memory had to be erased, she was basically holding the knowlede of the universe inside her human mind which couldn't cope, so the Doctor kind of didn't really wipe it just hid it, that's why he told her family not to mention it, or she'll find the memories and burn up. The only person afaik to have acquired the knowledge of the universe as a human was Rose, but the Doctor had to kind of take it away from her, thus the regeneration.

Hopefully DT is still the Doc in the 5th series, I'm not really into Doctor Who alot, but from the few episodes I've seen, Tennant does a grand job of playing the Doc. It would be a shame to see him be replaced.

the doctor was in a sword fight, his hand got chopped off and fell from a giant ship in the sky to the ground, jack decided to take it and then used it as a Dr tracking device.

    Re: Doctor Who Finale

Kinda sucked, full of plot holes imo.

Great concept, using a EM frequency tune to the right frequency and a strong enough signal to destroy matter. Brilliant idea! How they managed to solve it however sucked ass. The hand being able to regen into a full time lord? BS! They should of just brought Jenny back ffs! And that's another thing, if the clone doctor was born of war, surely so was Jenny? Does that mean Jenny is going to go off and commit genocide, in fact if that was the case shouldn't she be off killing them fish blokes.

Stupid episode, RTD can't write ending for shit. He has good story ideas he just can't finish the episode right. Was the same for last years finale, good idea, retarded ending *lets think of the doctor*, plus this one contradicted last years one, he can't even get his continuity right. If a time lord doesn't age, and now his counterpart does, then how could the master of aged him into a gremlin?...

I wish they would stop basic everything on Earth, I main it just detracts from the *this could actually be happening somewhere*. Making aliens invade every few weeks, when it doesn't actually happen irl just makes it silly for me.

Then there is that pocket clock thing, why didn't he just put the Timelord part of Donna into one of them making her totally human? Again flawed having to make her leave. Plus the idea that she got the mind of a Timelord and the clone got the body? Why won't it age.

I seriously can't wait for Steven Moffat, I've liked all his eps, even "The Girl in the Fireplace", dam she was hot! Even how in the end the Doctor tried to go back for her but it was too late. I know he could of used to TARDIS too go back, but trying to use the portals just finished the ep right without leaving huge plot holes.

    I thought it was good.

It was raining here this morning and I the words came to my mind "Alpha-spheric disturbance" or w/e DT calls it (rain).

Wait if the clone had the body of a TimeLord then why did the doctor tell Rose that the clone is exacty the same as him but will grow old with her? :S
