This thing is bs do we really need to know all this crap to understand not to drink and drive? Its common sense not to do anything bad. They want me to sit through 4hrs (or 4 chapters depends how fast I read) and remember it all for a 30min test. Man lol ...... As soon as I looked at first page I was like o_O wtf
going to start it now I guess, will do one chapter then write everything down, because its online I can keep a list of answers by my pc

It's true, I'm 13 and even i know what the concequences of drink driving are and why it's bad
The pre-test for half the first chapter asked me questions like
"How many teens die a year from crashes?" its 6,000 a year but does it matter how many die? Another one was "teens take up 10% of the U.S. population, and __% of the deaths for crashes" its 14% but does that matter? Nope, not to me. Telling me numbers on how many die doesnt matter to me.
edit: Finished chapter 1 totally, total of 4 sections. Done in 50mins have to wait the extra 10mins to move on V_V..... I learned if the child is 6 or under you cant leave him/her in car alone for more then 15mins

Actually they can die from the heat, zajat. And the test does have a point.
It can teach you stuff, yes. But most of the things are stuff that are common sense. Like I would never let a child stay in a car for more then like 3 mins (like if I forgot phone in house and needed to run in fast). And its known not to drink and drive or do any drugs. Hell I've only had a little alcohol in my life time (never got drunk) and never touched drugs (which I'm proud of :P). Wish we could just sign a papper saying we wont do it...
I suppose there are those WITHOUT common sense that actually NEED these kind'a tests.. ;)
See it as a failsave: if you're smart enough for the test, you didn't really need it anyway.. If you're not, well, then it might just be a good idea you won't be driving a car.. :icon6:

I know their using it to try and "scare" people into not doing it but how many people really go "Omg omg I'm so scared I wont drink and drive" because they said 6k were teens ...

ok tell me, if the statistics show that 0.0000001% of deaths last year were by drink driving, what would you think? you would think "fuck thats low, i'd may aswell drink and drive cos theres a higher chance of my gettting hit by lightening".
but if they say 14%, that IS a verry high percentage and you would then realise that drinking and driving is not such a good idea after all.
and if you didn't know the stats at all, you woudn't really care about drink driving cos youd think "yeh my mate drove yesterday after drinking, so can i!"

How was this immature? I was basicly stating that I think this isnt need to get licenses. Yes i understand some people dont think "oh this is bad". And yes when I typed this is was when I was doing part of it so i was in a WTF mood as you may want to call it. I still believe its not totally right for everyone to do this. They should just do this, you sign a papper saying you will never do drugs or drink while driving and if you break that contact you can never drive again. That would stop people from alot of things. They would be scared to lose it all together and wouldnt take a chance at all (well the smart people atleast).

you've proven my point. The amount of stupid people in this world outnumber those intelligentones, so getting people to sign something without trying to get the consequences of certain actions in their minds before they do something stupid wont help.
I guess w/e ..... I'm on the last chapter of it all. Last chapter is 6 sections (normally only 3-4). Pain in the butt going to do it later. As soon as I'm done with it I'm not going to worry about what they do. To tell the truth when I first herd they didnt make you take a test in the car to get a permit I was like "Wth...." mainly because their basicly letting people get permits (the ability to drive) when they dont have any training. I know a parent or someone of 21+ with a license should be in the car with them teach but how offten will that happen in some parts.
btw this is stero typing but its funny and happened...
My friend one is hispanic and one is asain. Well asain friend failed the driving test and the hispanic friend forgot his blinkers. Over where I live this is most of the time happening. ... This was not ment to be to anyone just saying what happened.

3) i am majoring in science hmm so mb that's why i did learn it
4) instead of asking if i took science you should've asked me if i took some form of history which i never tend to use or find applicable :)
5) if you are stupid enough to drink and drive... you deserve to die... but just don't fck with other people on the street by crashing into them

well just be glad you're taking it. Some girl in my driving class failed every test, but still passed the ADAP (alcohol/drug awareness).
