I hope thats the right forum, because D&D isnt a console game, i wanted to ask if people are playing it as RPG and i also wanted to ask if u could tell me what is needed to play it as rpg and how to play it, or a link to an tutorial or something like that, hope somebody can help me ^^
Hm i never played D&D before... I play (sometimes) 3D&T ... a brazilian RPG system :P
D&D is nice... soon there will be D&D online so the things you need is :
1. player hand book - to create character sheet...
2. character sheet -just open google...
3. DM - Dungeon Master - the person who says what happens in the world...
you cant play without those 3...
4. advenced books - more class... feats and abillities...
5. for a good game you should be about 3-5 people makes it more fun...

can i play rpg with d&d miniatures (yeah question is bit of dumb but well, i am a total n00b)
and skrimish also only with a friend
been playing D&D for 9 years, from second eddition all the way to 3,5 :D
you can use miniatures in a grid map, to show player/monster positions on the map, and other obstacles that obscure vision/help in hiding, etc.
And yeah, you also need the monster manual to get the stats for monsters
your players have to fight something, dont they? :P
and you better get an experienced DM, newbies suck ass
