I didnt know where to put this but o well. Im gonna get my hair dyed soon (permanent dye) And ive been hearing that this is dangerous? Is it dangerous or not? This is the only thing keeping me from dying my hair atm. Ive read articles on the net about this but none give useful information. They talk about old ways of dying and not the new ways. Can anybody give more info?
ive never heard anything about it being dangerous..
It could be, i've heard a few stories in the past few years about it. But make sure the person who does do it uses quality products and everything will be fine (I hope ;)).

lolol my hair's been every colour under the sun and has been 3 times and dyed 8 times, not to mention redying to keep the colour good, and my hair's perfectly fine :P
if ur using bleach, dont leave it on too long and if it it starts burning ur scalp then wash it off immediately. same goes for the dye. its slways good to do a strand test first, and just dye a little section of ur hair to cheeck ur not allergic [i personally have never done that n iv been fine, but ya never know]
if ur getting it done by a hairdresser then it should be fine. just make sure they do it the right colour...i asked for the right half of my hair to be dyed black so it matched the left half so it was all the same colour, and the hairdresser got all shirty saying "wat the hell do u want to dye it black for? it'll make ur hair look dead" [god knows how] and i was like "i want it black coz the OTHER half is black u imbecile"...she ended up dying it dark brown ffs...moron
umm.. not i don't think it's any dangerous or anything. althogh if you want to brighten it, like people do nowadays, maiking bits/all of their hair blonde, then you should be careful choose the place where you do it. i've heard of one girl that did it, and she got het hair sort of burned.

I've done it once and nothing happend.
But i heard you can burn your skin.
It's not dangerous as such just it's best if it is your first time to do like a skin test by putting the dye on your skin, wait a week and if nothing happens then go ahead. Also it can be dangerous is you do it nearly everyday because if you get too much dye in your skin it can do harmful effects. Hair dye can thinning your hair but it takes many treatments to see the effects, the reason I don't dye my often.
I can't think of any other side effects but at least do the skin tests because you could lose all your hair otherwise. >.<

<_< How in the world would dying your hair be dangerous? I mean, sure... There are probably going to be some bootlegged dyes that your skull will absorb and screw up your brain, but that's something only my cheapass parents would buy! ^^
It would be dangerous if you was allergic to it. Go ahead dye it but don't come running if you find you have no hair left because you was stupid to think it was perfectly harmless O.O

I dyed mine twice and nothing went wrong... waiting for the decoloring sucks tho
I've dyed my hair green, blue, red, and blonde before and it was fun...untill you don't want the color anymore. :P
ive heard that if you dont treat your hair carefully after the dye you could have a lose of hair problem.. this actualy happend to a couple friends >< so watchout...
