I can't believe someone who doesn't care would have someone else come and post some great things about them at some random forum they used to use but left using their name. That makes 0 sence. Think about it.
Anyway it doesn't matter.
GohanSSJ made some good points about how she acted, she critized mods for very silly things imo, and it just didn't seem like normal behavior either. But really, that doesn't concern me either.. what I really want to say is she would always "flame" and post the same things over and over. I believe this was an attempt to make a change, but it didn't work.
Going to a section, such as habbo help, and posting in each and every thread "use the search button" isn't really anything other than spam. Without any sort of power (to delete threads, make infractions etc) all that sort of behaviour does is cause more of it. So basically what happened then, was a bunch of other users would do the same thing. More spam.
One day some ad bot comes and posts some porn add, and 7-12 people come along and post their own username1 moderator style comments. "Mod please delete this", "wrong section" and so on. All this really does, is bump the bad thread, and make more people notice it when they are browsing the forum. All that really needed to be done was one click of the report button... and done. (only one person reported it and it was none of the ones that posted)
So basically, the spamming actually got a lot worse because of people copying her tecniques. This particular example I gave every single poster in the thread a warning. More than half replied back to me with some sort of comment "well everyone else was doing it." People have even mentioned they were trying to take up her techiniques.
I'm sure that attitude has its place, but it just didn't work how she wanted. Things got worse and kept getting worse. Sometimes people would reply with flames and so on. Plus you have to admit its not very encouraging to the moderators to have someone like that around. She reported most very obvious things, but some things she reported were downright silly. Sorry I dont happen to have an example, but Brandon probably remembers.
Many posts that weren't just "use search" were borderline flames. So back to the copycats, they didn't have the finesse of being on the border downpat so well, and so they would cross that line pretty easily and find themselves in trouble. Then of course complain, well username1 did it.
In the end, if you know me, you know I like mostly everyone. I'm not saying I have anything against username1. I understand what her plight was. I have the same goals. I too want to make the forum a better place. I just think she went about it a bit wrong. Sure the strictness has its place, but I really see a difference between being strict and being mean. Hey they even think I'm a big meanie, and I think I'm nice :P
Well anyway, that's my thoughts on the matter.
Some like her, some hate her. Such is life.
