Exam Results

Ok so i dunno when england get their GCSE results but here in scotland we got our Standard Grades

i got:
(Marks run from 1-7 (1 being the best 7 besing the worst)

Computing - 1
Geography - 2
P.E - 2
English - 3
Maths - 3
Graphic Communication - 3
French - 3
Physics - 3

Tbh i was :icon6: about the results especialy maths and Physics as they wer the hardest exams!!

I got all the grades i need :D

AS/A-Level Results available to me from 11:00am Thursday 18th August.
GCSE's are the following Thursday.

25th August... the day it all goes wrong... :D

Unless my results are good (which I doubt), I dont think I'll post them.

I really let myself down as far as the Exams go. Im not exaggerating when I say over the months study leave, I did about 30 mins revision in total - all subjects.

Put nothing in, get nothing out -- but Ill still get the grades for sixth form so Im not that worried. Just not "achieving my potential" as the teachers say.


Congratz DiGi -- those are good results, what are you planning on taking at A-Lvl or w/e you are doing next?

See. Closest I got to doing that was a subject called Graphic Products. Similar name, but you had to design and make stuff e.g. a phone and it's packaging.

Yup, I also did graphics, we had to design a "point of sale display stand to promote the product of our choice".

It involved a bit of techincal drawing, like all the different methods and stuff. But was generally a waste of time as we didnt have a proper teacher for Year 11. The only real Graphics teacher resigned suddenly in the christmas of Year 10 -- didnt even tell the staff. Rather that then resistant materials tho.

Well, congratz on getting a 'B'. My graphics class is literally retarded. Out of 20 students, 7 are actually taking the GCSE (the rest all just gave up) and of that 7, only myself and 1 other boy are doing Higher tier. Its been a bad year for graphics at my school.

And I hadn't actually realised it but this is my 1000th post. But, after reading something you said earlier, I also would like to have about 350 posts taken off, because unfortunately the Longest thread just deteriorated. (and the posts shouldnt have really counted in the first place imo.)


Anyway -- I'm still debating wether Im gonna turn up on the 25th tbh :D

meh... for most people these grades and scores will mean NOTHING 2 years after you get them...

No-one gets a job these days because of their qualifications - they get a job because they are either known or liked (or both) by their interviewer (if indeed there is any interview) - it's all who you know... even I know that, and I've only been in the workforce a coupla years :bleh:

Just make some good mates and don't completely screw over your grades and you'll be fine :)

I get my college results on the 25th too - im hoping i passed it all. Also why do the scottish work on numbers? Wouldnt that make it harder if you came to england for a job?

i was banned from using the pc's in my school for 3 years for breaking the network security and letting ppl access porn, but reason i was banned was because the boy printed out 1000s of naked pictures and used all the ink.

Plus several other incidents.
