Facebook hasn't made my relationship better or worse personally but it is an option. Facebook was made so people can interact with their interests. I have seen and heard stories about Facebook which has caused their marriages to be ruined, or for them to find their true love (lol @ all the dating sites).
Facebook was intended so less appealing guys have a better chance to pick up the most beautiful girls. In the end though, the world balances itself out. The difference is that it made a group of people richer, and most of the world, ironically, less sociable.
I don't have an active 'profile' on any social network site. I don't think doing nothing on anything has ever increased my quality of life so much.
When I want to be social I go out and talk to people (and get shitfaced)

Facebook does help relationships. Like people that lives at another state, we can contact each other by facebook instead of like the phone(which costs money).
The problem with facebook is although its a cesspool and can fuck relationships up very quickly, it is also extremely convenient.
I can see we got more trolls than Facebook users, how proud.
I don't know about you guys, but I only use facebook to keep in contact with friends and to organize get-togethers. So I would have to say it helped me, but that's the purpose of it. It's easier to get a hold of people on facebook then to text or call them.
