    Fastest Ever

I just saw a show of the top 10 fastest things, and #1 was so amazing I felt I just had to post about it

The X-43 is a jet that can go up to Mach 9.8 which is 7,460 mph (thank you, google)

    Its pretty amazing imo..

You joking? A ride on that would be a death trap to most people.

Hell yeah I would like one before I die but not now! The amouth of G's you under go will be insaine. It would definately render you unconcious at the very least. Most likely it will give you a heart attack since it would force your blood to the back of your body and slow down the flow of the blood if not stop it all together.

Yeah it would be fun. Lots of fun. But it's the fun that will kill you forsure. ;)

Not really: G-force happens only in acceleration and turns, and if you can accelerate slowly enough and turn VERY VERY VERRRRY slightly each time, it shouldn't kill you. Maybe do a bit of damage, but not kill you. You do know, you move as fast as the vehicle does; It just depends how fast the vehicle pushes you... If, for example, you get in and set it to max speed with afterburner and go from 0 to 2,000 miles per hour in 2 seconds, or if you are at 9,500 miles per hour and turn the steering wheel as fast as you can and as sharp as you can, it's your fault you died!

That is what I was speaking about. Any form of turning will kill you at that speed. Sure it will be kick ass to go that fast but one slight movement and your history. So if anything goes wrong then you are fucked!

yeah thats true... its impossible to turn at that speed.. thats why, like on airplanes, set your course slowly an dthen use that speed for the rest of the flight going exactly straight...

It is possible. If they were to fly high enough out of the atmosphere they could do it. Do it in the sence of not having the plane rip to pecies due to the pull of gravity on the hull. Then again they wouldn't survive since the great shift of g forece will litterly rip the flesh from their bones.

ok so lets conclude that its possible but only a trained (super trained) pilot with years of experience and at a peak physical shape and a young age (30's)

What do you think would happen if there was a vehicle that could travel at the speed of light? (300,000 kilometers per SECOND )

I think the vehicle would be vaporized from the heat in a matter of 1/1000000's of a second
