Today I finally bought a macintosh computer. Is anyone else on RZ using a mac? They are great; they are fast, fun and have alot of features. If you don't have one you should definitely think aout trying one out :)

My mam has 1.. I dont tend 2 use it very often , 1 mouse button pisses me off to no end.
maybe few in rz are but who knows dude i once tryied to get one myself but then i felt lazzy _-_
im sorry but i personally HATE mac pc's... but have fun with it :)
Yeah the mouse is a little screwy but webpages and stuff loads so much faster then your regular pc. Also, they are alot cheaper then pcs (I got mine off of eBay for 170 USD).

a more Graphical Computer system, different operating system, and has a mouse with 1 button xD (you press Ctrl+click to right click basically...) Personally I dont like em, but they look kinda cool =P

Check out www.apple.com they got some new pcs there that run about 1000 USD but they look cool.

only just got a window comp last year (after 9 years of macs :icon6: )
macs own, they dont lagg and they r super fast. though not compatible with alot of shit.

I feel sorry for you man :(. Who forced you to buy a mac? It's like a form of torture :(. I used a mac for a whole year while i was at college... By the end i almost went on a mass murdering spree. Yeah i know how to use them... Yeah i can see there advantages (although i see the disadvantages being far more numerous and annoying). But quite frankly... there shit!
Everyone who has them keeps saying 'they are tools that do the job. You dont get any extra bollocks with a mac'. So what the fuck is it with the operating system useing PDF's to create a lovely looking slick movement etc. STUPID LITTLE BOUNCING ICONS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FUCKING PAGE!!! WHY WONT THEY GO AWAY AND STOP BOUNCING AT ME THE LITTLE FUCKERS!!!!

The only good use you can get out of a MAC is... It's rather good for target practice. Perhaps with a bat or a shotgun. :) (Preferably bat, Shotgun is overkill but still fun) :D
Well for me it's nice to try something different and more efficient for what I do, seeing that I have been using only PC's for my whole life.
Macintosh isn't just a PC, it's a cult & mentality thing. Sure a Mac might not be as powerful as a custom built AMD with liquid cooling fangly dangly thingies but for those who couldn't be fucked (i.e. arsed) to bother with all the bullshit that goes along with making a custom PC the mac is the perfect solution. When you buy a mac everything works out of the box and I mean EVERYTHING!!! also it is all in one very neat package (look at the iMac) and now with bootcamp support you winblows users have no excuse to at least try one out. Not to mention the fact that OS X is the most secure OS in the world (out of the box at least) due to the security model it is based on (FreeBSD) no adware, spyware or viruses now try and do that on a PC. OS X is also extremely simple thats why the one click mouse was invented, OS X apps are designed so you only have to use one simple click for most functions. Secondly the mac was never intended for gaming but take note that ID softwares Doom was first developed using OS X (well nExtstep) and Blizzard is a large supporter of macintosh. If we didn't have blizzard I dunno what macintosh users would play???
Id rather not use a mac, i dont care what anyone says one button mice suck. I current use a 7 button mouse and its not really enough imo.
There is nothing a mac can do which a pc cant do tbfh.
Having said that i will one day move onto linex. But macs just suck really, i just hate simple things.
So do I, I went to a mac store before and tested one out..it sucked.
The reason Mac is so safe is because virus 'creators' don't target the minority - or Macs. I personally don't like Apple, Macs are alright...
meh i personally hate Macs especially since its hard to play games and stuff with them also as was said a pc can pretty much do whatever a mac can. oh and viruses? i've only had like one in my lifetime and then theres stuff to protect you against it.
