In other words, there is a distinct possibility that you have us wasting resources that could be dedicated to folding on cracking a password with a complexity that's probably orders of magnitude too large to be cracked by anything short of a supercomputer.
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
stuck on the rar password z.z
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
1-2 hours left on password cracker here.
Running a brute force of all lower case possibilities from 2 to 14 characters, and a dictionary crack w/ a >30mb dictionary file.
Edit: Wierd, my first edit didn't show. Used the wrong dictionary file, the 30mb dictionary file has 20-24 hours left, and the brute force is taking about 30 minutes... for just all 4-(lowercase)letter combinations.

At least tell us if the password can be found in the files we allready have...

I had the wrong word list in initially. 1-2 hours was w/ a 2MB word list. The 30MB one should take about 20-24 hours. Of course, there is always the option of using word lists >5gb and waiting a year or two :P.

1500+ CUDA cores here.
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
Im pretty sure the rar password is a trick, because it's still listed as JFIF format :/

2 files catted together. Search for 'Rar' in the file, that's the start of the rar file. It's only 324 bytes.
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
Ah, the others usually started with RAR, thanks ;p.
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
badonkadonk
RAR pass is 'smashing'

God damn. Fast GPU is fast. Could not have gotten there that quickly, even with a relatively small word list. Only bothered using my i5 2500k.

I actually dumped the brute midway through 7 characters and jumped into a 1 million word wordlist (split 30 ways).
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
Goddamn it. The cracker I was using found the password in a matter of five minutes, but refused to display the entire string.
Re: Find the secret word and win a subscription!
badonkadonk - lol this is really the answer. Converting Binaries to Words. Nice JMerlin.
