    fingerprint pass to drink

what do you think abut this?

    http://uk.news.yahoo.com/10022006/14...nt-please.html

basically saying that in the future you will have to give your fingerprint to get into pubs and clubs etc

i think its a brilliant idea, it is a form of social control but i agree a good one

Thing is, if you got on the wrong side of a bouncer...he knows where you live :'(.

It's a good idea but i think it wouldn't go down well with 'hardcore clubbers'

Why would it NOT go down well with "hardcore" clubbers? It's just as easy as showing your ID, if not easier. I for one think it's bloody brilliant.

no, i mean for propper identification, they will have access to things like your address, phone number ect which can be used or even sold.

    and that isnt done already?

as for not going down well with "hardcore clubbers" there was a point where i would be going out clubbing like 4 times a week for months and i think this is a fucking awesome idea

so much trouble goes on that this could easily stop that it out weighs silly arguments like "its going to be abused"

my drivers license has my address on

my address can be used to find phone number

just with this if i forget my license i can still get in, if they do ask for id

only people who will be anti this is people underage, which shouldnt be drinking anyway >_ >

It might take a while to go through every single fingerprint on record per person. Wouldn't it?

sounded like if you do it once everywhere within that network would have you on file

so youd have to once do the scan with ID etc and afterwards you can go in without it
