As for calling it just EU, that's kinda the idea you know, here is the thing, first of all the Dollar controlled everything, now with the Euro they don't have that much power anymore, i mean when the Euro came the Dollar was worth more, now the Euro is worth way more, which is really good for Europe, also together we are stronger, the bigger we get, the less chance that some idiots will attack us. It's like an improved America.

Tis a stupid idea... Won't ever happen *hopes*. Whats the point in changing little things like that? Why not ask for bigger things. But then when they ask for bigger things we go against it will full force. There really isnt any point in britan counting itself as europe. Better off on our own tbh.
40 - 50 years down the line.... The countries in the EU will have lost allot of the things that make them unique. It really would be like one big fuck off sized country o___0. What next? A bill that states everyone in the EU MUST speak dutch so its easier for people to move between countrys? Pfffft tis all silly.

well, first u had the benelux which was belgium, the netherlands and luxembourgh, this was where europa is built on... so then there where 2 opportunitys for head of europa, amsterdam or brussels (luxembourg is to small i think :P) so 50%change i guess...Quote:

d'you think i liked it when they changed our currency to the euro? made life more expensive in belgium (not by much but it happened) for one and it made judging something's value a heck of a lot harder... though i got used to it. it's not like WE had a choice

English is the right language as it's 1 of the easiest languages around, it's much easier then Dutch, Dutch just has to many rules, same with Deutsch and many other languages.
Anyway Neo is right, politicians are the same everywhere, and that's really hard to change, because almost all politicians have always, or atleast for a long time been rich, because to get high up you need to be rich, because they basicly advertise themselves, if you have no money then you can't advertise, and if you can't advertise then people don't get to know you.
That ofcourse and connections, but because it's all about rich people, you just don't get the right connections unless you are rich aswell.
It's simply a major problem, because the things that makes our lives harder are 95% of the time related to money, and because they got plenty of money they just make everything more expensive, collect more money, and hey they don't care, i mean if you have a salary of like 10.000+ euro a month then why the hell would you care if the bills go up a bit.
And ofcourse when you get a politician who does want to change things for the better and says what they think, then they get killed, we had this politician Pim Fortuyn, now i didn't, and still don't agree with his plans, but he was fair, honest, and he truely wanted to improve this country, but 1 of those things was to ship out a lot of foreigners, and that view wasn't appreciated so they killed him.
