I did a kick like that once, but really it was more of a jump, was just trying to unlodge the huge peice of excrement concealed between my gorgeous cheeks.

not 100% sure which martial art the kick itself comes from but i taught it myself from an online tricks website www.trickstutorials.com
the move itself is called a 540
btw i do freestyle karate its the best imo

I tried slowing down the movie, and you see exclam doing the matrix type jump kick, lololololol!!
More like a 180.. you just pivot off the 1st foot and do a 360 on the ground, then leap and do a 180 kick

sometimes the problem isnt finding the style you want its finding an instructor who teaches what you want
so many ppl claim to teach freestyle when they really teach kickboxing and call it karate
so many ppl claim to teach muay thai when they really teach kickboxing with elbows and knees
go to a gym or school of martial arts and watch a class or too, speak to the ppl there, if you like what you see and hear give it a go :)
Nice m8, I think I remember doing something similar to that when I used to take Karate, we called it the "tornado kick". Dunno if you know that or not, but it was similiar, just I don't think we did a 540 spin, more like a 360 :P.
yeah tornado kick is a pre requisite to a 540
now in comps ive thrown and landed quite easily tornado kicks but i doubt id throw a 540 lol
