This has been the bane of Georgia for many years. Whenever a drought weather pattern begins Georgia residents get a water restriction and even get fined if they use water incorrectly.
The last time was in 2000(I believe) and I almost got fined by the only police car I have seen roam my neighborhood(filling in quota, no?).
Anyways, the reason WE get hurt over the situation is because of those damn Floridans that want to keep THEIR environment nice. Yet Georgia is the one in the drought with our environment getting worse every year.
I live in Georgia currently(uh, duh) and will be moving to Rhode Island, then California in about 4-6 years. Anyone else live here or even have thoughts about this? It just makes me mad that people dont understand the concept of natural selection, or survival of the fittest. Damn hippies with dem petitions. They hate the government but they're smart enough to infiltrate it!...:crash: :crash: :crash: :crash:
Btw, the water they take from Georgia is used to level the streams in Florida so the wildlife can survive. The streams require hundreds of millions of gallons of water from just one Lake in Georgia. This year the fines are higher and the drought will last longer. If the feds dont do SOMETHING about their ignorance then Atlanta could easily run dry of water. I know I wont run dry because if I do I will kill something...like a kitten(not really).
Thoughts?
PS: I have no idea if this is the right section, but it seems very Off-Topic, and it isnt spam. I want thoughts people!
