Actually, yes. It's the internet. There's always those few people that think everyone in the world is a liar on the internet. @Sean: Take a look at the bottom of the main page. Every single day... literally every day, you will see the number of active members being just over 1.5k. You'll also see a good majority of the same names. I think you're very much underestimating just how active RaGEZONE is. Active != posting every day.

Erm... Holy crap, lets clear few things:

1) Gohan is right, you don't need to bull shit your way threw it, you can obviously tell, and i will disqualify any "too personal sob story". I love honesty. I rather hear people say "I want to win because i just want an extra computer" rather than people tell me something crazy to believe.

2) Just because my fiancee is reading the comments, won't mean you can use the sob story against her, she is realistic and scary :P

3) Regards the amount of people to join, i mean the deadline is around july 1st, i actually think 2500 people is too low, and should be up to 5000!

Anyways, reposting: I'm requesting a laptop because I can't play any games effectively. I lag to high hell simply from going to a facebook app, and my computer is slow as hell when I have more than 3 tabs open on FireFox. I'd also like one because it'd be nice to finally be able to webcam with my family back home and see actual video for once instead of frame by frame. Kinda sucks not being able to see my niece and nephew because of it... No... that's not a made up story -_-

Never had an account and always used some shit ass program to play non steam servers.

i would like to join for trying winning the laptop ,since i gave my laptop(asus EEE PC 1215B ) to my big brother because he moved to live with his Girl Friend and theyre budget is not so big so i have decided gave them my PC.the problem is i need it for school because im learning architecture and i need it very much for the Autocad lessons...so if i would get that it could really make easier on me and the Architecture lessons...

I want the steam account to play some games tbh. But the laptop...

For over 28 years my grandfather (rip), grandmother, mother, father and I being working on my neighborhood trying to help those that can't make it on their own. My father started the ONG in 1983 and since then we have employed, helped get employed, fed and sheltered thousands. We provide free breakfast, lunch and a late-afternoon snack for 200 women and children 6 days a week. A lot of those people can't find a home nor send their kids to school and can't even think of learning new skills; it's impossible for them to get out of the hole our government has pushed them into.

To change this in 1999 we opened a center for free computer learning. Spending all we could (I gave out my very own computer and had no system for 3 months so they could have an extra computer to learn at) we were able to begin the long and hard process of educating people. All expenses that our organization have are paid by donations and money from my parents pockets and mine.

While I was reading this thread and posting something nonsense just to let you know yet another staff member was controlling such a fine thread I realized that this could help a lot of people right here! So now I edit my thread so I can be taken into consideration, not for me, not for games, not for porn, not for anything other than helping others.

The center now counts with 11 computers, we have 3 classes a day, 6 days a week. Classes ofc are always full, no one else gives free introduction to computers and Internet access for the poor. Thats almost 200 human beings that face a computer for the first time in their lives a month.

I would like to enter the RaGEZONE Toshiba Give-a-away because I could really put a laptop such as that to good use. Currently I work as a Police Officer voluntarily and as a Police Communications Member full-time. In my spare time I love to play Starcraft II competitively, and having a laptop such as that would be a great addition to my gaming rig.

I am doing Computer Science at Uni and given it is a computing course, a laptop is needed for the course. Given I have Autism I don't see me getting a job any time soon (trust me, I think I've been refused jobs because of this even though it's illegal to do that) and winning the laptop would be a huuuuuge help to me.

Yeah, my nephew has been diagnosed with a mid-scale form of Autism, meaning he can walk etc and 'function' but is a preferential mute etc. He goes to a school designed for children with Autism in September so hopefully he'll come out of his shell a little more :)

Ah, that's quite good. Never knew there was a specialist school for children with Autism, though when I was in High School I was in a specialist unit within a mainstream school that helped children with Autism integrate with the other pupils and of course try to achieve their full academic potential. I never talked until I was 4, your nephew will probably start talking a bit more once he's in his comfort zone :)
