unfortunately gladstone seems to be at a stage in his life i have seen in almost all kids, where he believes his knowledge and his opinions are in some way superior to others not at his "level" in formal education, whether he is aware of this or not it is proven by his lack of effort when citing references or sources and the habit of denying something he is unaware of being true even before he has seen the evidence

    a closed box

Ah yes, and I see you've entered the stage of "condescending old wise man". You truly are a fountain of sage observations, old timer. I'm sure your 3 extra years on this planet have provided you with experiences the likes of which I will never know.

I agree with exy, your mind is closed at the moment. In say 3 years time you might have all the experience you need to start to open your mind to other peoples veiws.

I must say though at least you stand up for what you beleive and don't follow trends. :winky:

You are probably right on the dot with that post, but I will side with Gladstone even if my opinion is dismissed, I feel that nobody can change the way somebody thinks, feels, expresses themselves or what they say. Yes indeed it's a given that some of these things will gradually change over the years or the said persons mood, but really, it's clear he is aware of this already, I don't think making a thread about it is going to change anything. The reason I feel my opinion is of little or no importance here is because I read very few of his posts and don't exactly get excited over the debate section because I have debates with friends about things that matter to us, but please do not think I am putting a bad word towards the debate section, some of the threads in there are worth a read.

I'm not close minded, I'm just sceptical of outlandish theories. It's not like that's a sign of inexperience. In fact I'd wager I'm more experienced than most people on this board, what with the average age being surprisingly low.

Sounds pretty close minded to me. It's OK, though. I actually envy you. if I could just shut the outside world and studied hard in uni like I'm supposed to, I'd ace things and get a number that shows how much I'm worth from people I don't even know. Oh, that and a paper that says how awesome I am.

PS - I don't even know you so I don't want to be quick to judge. But this is the first impression and what I've said is based on that.
