its pretty confusing I gotta say, also it's all connected with every other google service you are using, so you change your name / photo and it changes everywhere.. sucks man
Not gonna lie, my first impressions of it are terrible. It's hellishly confusing.
Firstly, Circles. From what I gather, they're to share specifically with a certain "circle" of people. I mean, if you only want to share it with a certain person or group of people then surely you'd only have them accepted, or use another means of communication, such as IM.
The layout. I quite like how it looks, very clean and sleek. Then again, so is Facebook.
Hangouts, they seem pretty cool. I've not had the chance to try it out, but I'd much rather use skype for group video calls.
I think what Google have tried to do is imitate Facebook and/or other social networking sites and have failed.
they actually tried social networking many times before, with orkut and buzz and.. kind of.. wave
They should stick to focusing as a search engine.
Google are always trying to harvest my data.

The reason this is going to take off is becaue its google. Facebook is getting old just like myspace did. People want and enjoy something new, and since this is google there is no doubt that it will ask you to set up a profile when activating a new android phone on your google account. I kind of expect them to take out facebook coming preinstalled and replace it with google+.

Invited them both. Whats annoying is that there isn't actually an invitation feature.
Similar to Facebook, you post a "status" that says something along the lines of;
and limit it to the emails that you're inviting. That way, if they don't already have Google+ they'll recieve and invite to join and only these invited E-mails can see on your "newsfeed."This message serves as an invite to Google+. Google throttles the signup rate, though, so it may not work at first. If not, try again later.
