i really dont like msn.. all most moving gifs really annoys the hell out of me..

i hate yahoo too.. those IM environment is only good when im talking to my girl.
Works quite smoothly, however, everyone I know uses MSN. So unless there's a drastic switch over to GoogleTalk, I think I'll stick with MSN.
Google has never let me down and I never had anything bad to say about their (free!) services. I'm going to give it a try even though I already have way too many IM programs in use (MSN, QQ and Yahoo at times, constantly logged on 3 irc networks on 2 separate clients...).
Google here we go. Btw if anyone needs a gmail invite you can pm me aswell.

i don't see my sticking with google IM, i might try it to see but doubt i'll move from msn. everyone uses it and it's rare to find someone who doesn't. So unless everyone decides to use it, i not going to use it that much.

Have heard something about this Google instant messenger a few weeks ago. Haven't signed up for it since I dont have a g-mail account. I might try it if I got a g-mail invitation from someone. I use MSN and Yahoo, and one sucks worse then the other.

Aww is it just me or is google IM lacking webcam?
MR, I know I can use gmail on msn. I was just referring to any msn services having periodic problems. This isn't like "bleh it's microsoft! windows suxxx!", just don't like it how they pet the users and in the end I'm not even allowed to download the language version of msn I'd like cause it would require one more choice from the end-user. If there was only one IM software for everyone to use I'd rather it be google than msn, although I have to admit msn as it stands now is awesome and google is, tbh, lacking a few features I would like.
I feel the same :) I use what I think most people will use :P which is why I use Trillian.
Frankly I believe that Yahoo Messenger is the most developed messenger yet. It has a free intergrated VOiP service. My dad talks alot with his buddies using Yahoo and i was very surprised by the quality and the speed of the sound. The quality beats regular home phone quality and it doesnt lag one bit even though he was also using webcam and i was on emule :P But I think MSN will also get VoIP Soon (or already has)
i cant use google talk because you need a GMail account, i want to use the same email every tbh. I have konnichiwa@doitthen.com, which comes to my outlook, i use it on MSN, if i could use it on GoogleTalk i would, but since everyone i know uses MSN.....

GT is much better than IM i've used.... also, it's llighter, only 900kb(compared to 9.1mb msn 7.5), but it does lack a webcam... which I know will soon to follow..
but it has advanced voice options..
I'd rather use GT, but no one has it...
Well... I hardly use IM these days anyways :P

Just something i've been wondering, haven't used yet but you know how people log into msn with gmail, can people using google IM still see them online or do they have to be on the same messenger? just want to make sure^^
