Re: Hadron Collider, Destroyer of Worlds? 6 days

Aaah, I get it now. Particles crashing together at high speeds forms mass, and since that's what happened at the 'big bang', they're doing this to recreate the creation of mass etc., but how will this open up black holes?

    EDIT:

But why make the experiment so big?

If any of you actually watched the whole video, they say that it's somewhat likely that black holes will open, but not how we know them. Not of that magnitude, and that they would disappear just as quickly as appearing due to their size.

high energy collisions can create black holes

edit: so think about that the next time you dont wear your seatbelt

    Also...
Solpreto, I'm just going to quote you on what you've said.

Please Note: Solpreto has a child.
According to his theory, we're all going to die very soon.

A black hole is formed when a star gets too big and collapses under it's own weight. That is how it is naturally formed.

What these scientists are doing is creating massive amounts of dense matter which collapses and forms a black hole.

They try to create it on a big scale because their hypothetical penis is too large to deal with theory. They want to become heros.
