they obviously cannot regrow hair/nails since your body does not control their growth. just like how they still grow even when you're dead.

Damn, I need to download heaps to catch up =d.
Cant wait!
I can't wait till the 23rd, ep 19 ftw ^_^
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EP 19 KICKED ASS! WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Omg, the ending where hiro meets himself in the future is fucked. And the fight between Sylar and Peter was Short, but owned. :D
Aww i wanted to resurect this thread. Anyway yea it was seriosuly awesome. btw nathan is a bitch.
my question is tho... when sylar shot out all those glass pieces... why did peter have his back facing sylar? he couldn't have been running, cos he was standing still and was too close to him...
xD Amazing Show !
Looks quite good there has been alot of talk about it, I only seen it a few times but was pretty cool.
PS : Omg Solares is teh aliveness! :o
ME WANTS EP 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111111ONEONEone
Me want err what ep are we on ? :p
We are on episode 19, 20 is airing tonight I think + yay peter survived :)
I wonder though, who were the "others" who also had powers Mr.Linderman was talking about... that group of his... maybe Hiro's father was one of them?
I had a good talk with a buddy of mine. We discussed that one of the others might be Nathan and Peters mom because think about it. We don't know if she actually has powers yet, her two sons does? Linderman said he was with other people who had powers trying to do good in the world, but they turned evil. And Nathans/Peters mom(Forget that bitches name:P) seems like she'd old enough and cold hearted enough to fit the description.
and she did say something to Clair about "being like her" so i think its very possible that she has powers too. what exactly though, i'm not sure.
kinda scary though that sylar can paint the future now... but his picture was different to the one linderman had... does this mean he can actually paint alternate futures and they come true? because though isaac did die, he would have known it was going to happen all along. so he knew he was gonna die. and that sylar would get his powers. he knew everything. so no event should have been able to change it, right?
Nope.
If you notice in all the paintings and the comics that Isaac painted they all had the same style of artwork, his own style, and since an artists style derives from how he perceives the world it makes sense that Sylar has a different more twisted style and view.
^_^
although, if you think about it, that extra power may act as a disability for sylar... if he paints the future and knows whats going to happen, he may be a little less cautious which could prove to be a weakness when going up against peter.
but what if you cant change what has been painted? still... i guess a few sacrifices would be worth the price to take down sylar for good (providing ofcourse that he does leave a big enough weakness there for them to exploit).
Isaac COULD have changed the future. But it would have involved shooting himself ;)
Cant wait till tomorrow so I can download the new episode =p
one interesting question i thought of:
Peter officially has the power to heal right? So why in the hell does he have a scar? Mentaioned by both Furute Hiro and shown in commercial. Does this mean he loses the power (and probably all powers), therefore avoiding the explosion i'm assuming is caused by too many powers/ having Mr. Nuke's(forgot his name :P) power?
I believe the man in nathan's place in the white house is uspposed to be sylar is sylar's painting.
Wow, that ep just kicked serious ass. Sylar kills nathan in the future and is actually the president. That's so fucked up.
that was just seriosuly goddamn amazing. last 30 min my jaw dropped and stayed dropped. Oh and Peter vs Sylar: Kiskass even though we didn't really see much i can imagine.
i know hay!
every 5 minutes i was like "dude, no way, what the fuck?". amazing episode, cant wait for next week.
but yea, why didn't peters scar heal? only thing i can think of is that the hatian removed clair from his memory aswell somewhere along the line? and since he cant remember her, he cant use her powers?
and how did nathan die? :O
It doesn't mention the form of nathans possible death, not even 1 clue :(
This episode kicked serious ass tbh =O
Hiro will pwn Sylar ;)
How far has the series got? I've only watched one episode so far and I wanna know how much to catch up :P
Its almost to the end of Season 1. 3 eps left. I belive its on ep 19, 20 or 21. I'd stay away from thsi thread tho as there are major spoilers
im waiting for episode 21 now.. the suspense is killing me.
[admin] no warez - mental[/admin]
Thats what i though, as he did didnt he. My uni mate is so getting a i told you so when i see him.
After spending awhile thinking about this, it makes no sense. I think they are mixing diffrent theorys of time travel up and making a hash of it.
I will take the theory they are all in the same timeline, that if hiro changes the past the future will change with it. Granted this cannot really work since it will create paradoxs constantly.
With that, the future we saw will always exist no matter what hiro does. When our hiro teleports to this dimension he cannot change it no matter what he does in the past. This means the future is what happens if peter doesnt get the message from future hiro. However he would of made it to isaacs with mahinda and saw the painting of him anyway. I think he would of still saved the cheerleader and thus got her power as isaac painted it. This would mean Claire doesnt die and is put into hiding, which explains why sylar gets her power aint the end rather than back then. The problem is the scar. The scar however is different from the one sylar would of given him, diagonal rather than across his forehead. I think the scar peter had is from a different time, something must of damaged him so much so that Claire's ability couldnt heal it. From what we know about her power if there is something in the wound it cant heal. Maybe there is something in the scar that means he cant heal it? Only thing i can think of.
All i know is im loving heroes, so much to discuss. Newest ep was brilliant!
yea their time dimensions didn't make sense to me either but i tried to ignore it :P
maybe the scar was made by hiros sword? we all know its not a normal sword so perhaps thats the cause? because from what we've seen, in the future hiro and peter aiint exactly best friends).
Just caught episode 20, and woah best episode by far ! I was a bit confused though, now that hasian guy is dead its all gonna go down hill in the future and sylar is like the supreme ruler as he as killed like everybody and got loads of powers linderman isnt even in the future and well its all gone back to the past now anyhwos
They were friend imo. They fought a war on the same side (i presume nikki was on the same side as peter?)
Maybe hiro knew it was infact peter who blew up? That might make Hiro rather pissed that he killed his best friend, and also expain the scare. (Hiro attacked, peter regened)
Maybe the whole having to go to the past to tell peter about the cheer leader changed something else? Alerted Peter to Hiro's powers earlier or something maybe? I really want to rewatch the whole Hiro meeting Peter scene again. We know changing that event changes the future, unless future Hiro doesnt know it was Peter who blew up. In which case it will just happen again, only hopefully Sylar will be dead and the real Nathan will goto the white house.
But then that would deny Sylar's painting himself in the white house, which we know has come true. Maybe both Sylar and Isaac paint the future we have just seen, not the one that Hiros trying to create.
Im downloading ep 19 lol even though i watched 20 :p
Sylar never uses the power he got from that girl who remembered everything.
i thought it was kinda cool how peter used clairs moms powers and sylar used the nuclear dudes powers but still if peter got near sylar again and again and again he still gains every power sylar has
actually i think they both used the nuclear guys powers, they were jsut diff colors. Sylar's was blue and Peter had the same color the nuke guy had. it was cool tho.
Episode 14 kicks ass! just finished watching it
noone is seeding ep 20 :(
I want it now!!!!!
ahh... but thats not exactly a power you can use is it? its just a +1 to memory. and we cant exactly see him trying to remember anything, so yea... doubt he needs to remember historical facts either... however when the laptop with the list was smashed, he SHOULD have been able to memorize all the data since he was going through the list earlier.
good point on the lap top thing but wtf ice power?
Just watched ep 20....heroes just keeps getting better and better....
-do we know for sure that Charlies' memory was a power (she on the list ?). she confesses that she has a tumour or something doesnt she...I clearly haven't been paying too much attention.
Seeing as how Peter's going out with Jessica five years in the future, I say Peter got the scar after they decided to spice up their sex life by utilising their powers. However, Jessica got carried away and ripped Peter's head so severely his power (well, what he got off Claire) wasn't quite enough.
im still up for the thoughts of peter blew up new york and killed ando hiro got mad and cut him and hiros sword has some power or something where you cant heal if you are cut by it or something around those lines
Yea, it does seem rather useless compared to the other powers he gathered. But I'd still find it pretty handy to be able to remember anything you read =p. Unless that was the cause of her tumor of course
Then it would be Hiro's fault that Sylar kills everyone! Otherwise he would have had a tumor :icon6:
Eppisdoe 21 - OH MAI GAWD!
peter finally gets ted's powers... but will he xplode? something tells me he wont be able to control it and clair will have to shoot him? but now sylar thinks he will be the exploding man aswell... arg confusion!
i still cannot for the life of me remember the ice person but did any one see the previews for the next 2 eps some old dude is teaching hiro how to fight
This is season is going end on a hell of a cliffhanger. Greatest show besides The Black Donnelly's tbh.
No, when they were discussing it, Hiro got emotional or something and bend-space-timed his behind back to the future, thus he wasn't around no more to keep her safe, she didn't go to Japan, and got murdered by Sylar after all.. at the place she gets murdered Hiro and Ando meet up again to continue together..
Episode 21 was a good one, especially since it focused on Syler more.
goddammit why does no one seed!!
still haven't got 21 yet
With all the missing brains, i wonder... does he actually physically eat them? O.o
i don't think he eats them. I think sylar does actually have a power, or at least i think the show is saying he does, and its the power to see exactly how something works. I'm guessing he sees how the power works, what DNA sequence makes it so and then he somehow configures himself to it. About the brains then going missing, burns them?
I think he absorbs them. :O
hmm it doesn't really matter that much tho lol. We'll see if its explained. after all, only 2 eps left. yay!
sylar has said he has always has been able to look at something and get whats wrong with it...understood how things work.
after sylar speaks with suresh, he invites the telekinetic guy to his clock shop and kinda does a funny, lop-headed stare at the guys head....before bashing his head in for brains....tastey brains..
was quite a mellow episode after ep20. seems tim kring has a pretty good idea for story progression, let alone a frikkin' awesome series.
Now my brain hurts. How in the world was Sylar able to move when Hiro stopped the time. He doesn't the power to do so unless he is like Peter but then again he needs to kill people in order to get their power so this has really been confusing me.
I can't wait to see what happens to Peter. I am guessing that he will manage to control Ted's power and get in a final face off between Peter, Ted and Sylar, a 3 way battle.
My explanation for Sylar moving during freeze time has two possibilities:
1. Hiro was incredibly ne5rvous about killing Sylar. We've seen that Hiro's thoughts and feelings affect his ability to control time and space. I'm guessing he was so nervous his powers either weakened and allowed for the fairly strong Sylar to begin to move, or time simply unfroze completely due to Hiro's doubt and nerves.
2. Sylar has like a super strong brain now due to telekenises power and other powers so he might've jsut been strong enough to simply break through Hiro's time stop.
Never though of it. Actually now I remember one of the first episode where he falls in love with this waitress but the waitress dies and it effects his ability to control time resulting him to teleport back to Japan.Quote:

I was actually considering your second option. I thought it was because Sylar was so strong that minor powers had no effect on him but your theory seems reasonable.
Well well well episode 22 wasn't bad.
Ted (or is it tod?) gets killed lol.
But IF it is sylar who explodes as the bomb, wont the explosion kill him unless he has the regen already? Ffs linderman is dead lol i was just starting to like him >_>
Yea, but peter HAS the heal ability, so if he IS the bomb then obviously he CAN heal, and when they went into the future, Peter WAS the one who blew up.
But if SYLAR is the bomb this time, he does NOT have the ability to heal and regen, so would that means the explosion will kill him?
Its interesting to note that D.L. (when he kills Linderman) goes for his brain and not any other vitals. Linderman could've probably healed himself if he still had his brain.
It is also worthy to note that Ted couldn't really hurt himself with his power... he only affected the area around him. Therefore it is plausible that whoever does explode may only affect the city and not himself.
By the way. Where the hell did sylar get that ice ability from again?
Yea, but thats AFTER the explosion.
Yea, that crossed my mind, BBBUUTTTTTT Ted's power was immense heat through radiation. The impact that wipes out the city was actually a full scale BOMB. That leads me to believe that it is NOT ONLY Ted's power which causes the damage, but an actual overload of power itself with many other powers contributing towards it. THIS makes me think that the person doesn't just give off all this heat and energy, but they actually explode.
Which takes us back to the fact that in the future, we know that Peter was the one who exploded. But we also know that he can heal. So did he actually explode and then heal himself? Which is why i started thinking that if Sylar was the bomb this time, since he doesn't have any regeneration abilities, would the explosion kill him too?
not a clue :P
Wooooot! Season Finale Of Heroes on tonight! yyyyyeaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!
I seriously cannot wait. I have some stuff to do before-hand tho so hopefully i'll finish that in time.
The bit where Hiro was about to kill Syler: The camera quickly cuts to Syler's mother, where she unfreezes and begins to fall again after being stabbed. THEN it cuts to Syler, who then moves. So Konrow is right (as I see it) that Hiro was nervous --> time unfreezing --> THEN Syler moving because he ain't frozen no more. Nothing to do with Syler being "oh-so-powerful-that-he-over-comes-being-frozen-in-time".
Also in episode 21: I liked how all of a sudden for a while Syler gained a conscience when he realised how many innocent people he'd kill if he went nuclear. When he was with his mother it was like part of his old self, Gabriel, was still there and he didn't seem so evil. But then he did that snow thing for his mum and the expression on his face changed and he was back to being Syler.
That was a hell of a cliffhanger, thought I was about to watch Hiro get turned into a pin cushion.
All I have to say is Wow...
Fucking GREAT show and way to end the first season of a great show. Hats off to the Heroes crew. I especially love the ending lol. Hiro warps back in time :D.
Seriously though, I loved every minute of the last ep. I can't wait for the second season. Hope you all enjoyed watching it as much as I did.
Though because of this ep, it will cause a lot of debate over what will occur in the next Season.
I find it especially interesting that the little girl said the boogieman is far worse than Sylar and that he can see her when she tries to locate him. Kind of freaky, but I think that person will be the main villain along with Sylar who got away next season. But yeah, again. GREAT episode. Oh yeah.
I'm excited. :D:D
Although with NBC's current track record they'll do something stupid like cancel the show and push back S2 months.
