lets see, well currently...
ive got a network set up, we can transfer files
problems
1. he can ping me, i cant ping him
2. cant share internet connection >_<

check that u havnt auto windows firewalled, best to check the network connections if u see a lock on your pc then u know its firewalled.....

can you provide some more info like what OS ur using on both PCs etc ?

I use wireless networking, much more complicated then regular wiring.

no one knows how i could set it up so my win 98 comp can use aim/msnother sutff, through the ICS? =/

thankfully all my PC's are XP :) Dunno wot 2 do with 98.

I use XP media center edition and aim/msn are all working even with the router. Dont know much about networking in 98, because back then I had dialup and didnt know that much about ethernet networking stuff.
I assume your online with the networked stuff and got a WAN IP, not LAN

Fixed it now, ^_^ using proxies, hehe
