ya i have win pro so i just use that disk... cause my computers been really slow lately and it doesnt take all the files out like files that i didnt put on my comp such as spy ware and stiuff ... i dont have anti virus and my parents wont buy me one so ill just reinstall pro then
http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/2/ is a FREE antivirus program... you got spybot/adaware? those will get rid of the spyware crap...
Pfffffft Becky..............what you want is a REAL antivirus like norton 2004 which is free, just d/l kazaa lite :)

Anyway, just use the System Restore discs that came with your computer, they work wonders and are so newbie friendly :). If you can type in a couple of characters, you're a pro at it! :P.

With XP you sometimes have to go to accesorys, system tools, and system restore.
kazaa LITE doesent have viruses!

just stick your recovery disk in, and reboot. Follow the shit.
If you don't have any discs, follow these instructions:
Go download a Windows 98 boot disk, Google it and you will find it straight away.
Save it onto a floppy.
Find a nice person who has either Windows ME + An upgrade version of XP Pro, or just XP Pro.
Reboot the computer and go into your bios and make sure your floppy disk is checked FIRST. Then when it can't find your hard drive it will take you to a static point which is the main file system.
Get yourself to the main file system which should look like this: A:/ <-- floppy drive
instead type this: C:/
This will bring the C:/ directory up (if C is your hdd) then type in C:/ format
It will ask you are you sure, press Y.
It will start the format.
Once this is done, reboot the PC with the floppy inside. This will begin the setup for Windows ME/98 depending on which disc you got.
From there follow the instructions and once done, install XP over the top of it.
All done :) Time taken: 3 hours
You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, one day you'll be a real boy!
