    How many of you smoke - have you considered 'alternatives' or trying to quit?

    Started this thread because;

    a) Not only am I curious as to how many of you smoke, but;
    b) My e-cigarette came today, and I wondered if those who do smoke have tried anything to quit or divert their habit?

    The questions probably been asked before, but this is different, sorta!

    I usually smoke in shifts. 2 months smoking, 1 month break.. But tomorrow (1st of june) is my last day of smoking. I will just plainly quit. I don't understand how people saying that smoking is addictive, sure is. But it's not hard to quit either. I've actually had to blackmail gf, if she quits, I will quit too. But by looking @ her, I do not believe she actually would, lol..

    Consider alternatives? It's not hard to stop smoking lol. All you need is some "will power". I smoked for over 3 years , and I stopped by 4 months now. And I don't want to smoke at all.

    Yeah, I don't smoke. I've tried it and it's disgusting to be honest. I smoke when I drink from time to time, but very very rarely now.

    I don't understand people who claim they can stop, don't actually stop poisoning their body.

    Well.. i did used to smoke but ordered the freedom e-cigarette, it really did help me and you got everything like the nicotine from it but not to the harmful extent as they have in real ones. Freedom helped me because when you take a pull from this e-cigarette even the smoke comes out of the end and gives you the rush as cigarettes do nowadays. Great way and i eventually quit because of it. However, it probably hasnt helped at all because i used to smoke for years and got all stuff that was harmful from that in the long run, so giving up is an option. Cigarettes are very addictive and ARE hard to quit in my opinion.

    Re: How many of you smoke - have you considered 'alternatives' or trying to quit?

    I picked it up for like a week or so when I was 13 but I dropped it fast luckily.
    At first I could tolerate the nicotine taste and tar and all that, but after a while
    I thought to myself and was like, "Wtf this shit is nasty how can anyone smoke it?"
    And ever since my lungs have been filled with a different, better kinda smoke ;)

    Never been a cig smoker, it isn't even real tobacco anyway :P I have joints sometimes but only like 1 or so a month, if I'm going to smoke something it's gonna be green!

    I used to smoke green daily, when I gave up smoking I left it out completely, now I only have it when I've got nothing to do or if it's a special occasion.

    I have stopped 'smoking' - essentially. As I say, my e-cigarette came yesterday, and so far it's given me all the nicotine I need, so fingers well crossed!

    Although, my friend just came round with the green 10 minutes ago, and we just had some.

    Re: How many of you smoke - have you considered 'alternatives' or trying to quit?

    I just quit, only took me 2 days of smoking less and then I just stopped, they already started to taste bad the 2nd day =/ The feeling of smoking stays about 2 weeks, or atleast that was the case for me. but then I suddenly stopped thinking about it.

    You don't have to use anything, also if you get nicotine from something else you are not really quitting right? I mean if you stop taking them you still going to need something to replace it ?

    Re: How many of you smoke - have you considered 'alternatives' or trying to quit?

    I smoke, but only when it's offered to me. I don't mind smoking a cigarette, a joint, a bowl, etc. I'd just rather save my money. If I'm hanging out with some friends and they offer me a cigarette, I'll probably take it. If my friend wants to smoke me out or something, I'm definitely down for that. I will say that green > tobacco, though.

    The best way to stop smoking is to never start... Good luck there.

    Don't you think about how much your spending on cigarettes a day though? $7 or more a day on cigarettes though, that'd end up around $2555 a year.

    Re: How many of you smoke - have you considered 'alternatives' or trying to quit?

    i roll my smokes and smoke around 15 to 20 a day pending on the stress i had at work, where i due to close customer contact have to restrain myself from smoking outside my major breaks ( Breakfast and lunch) and if i am in our offices i smoke even less as most of my co-workers are non-smokers.And my only incentive to quit smoke would be becoming a dad as i don't suffer any health issues like short breath and heard related issues from smoking as i do sports and eat rather healthy.i did quit smoking for 2 month a few years back due to some financial problems but somehow i picked it back up.

    I'm quitting, it's been 2 months, I smoke cigarettes only after a joint, I smoke joints regularly but I think it's not healthy for me at all because my brain is still developping.
